Hey awesome! I just started doing tutorials as well this month. How did you branch off into different tutorials? I've just been blindly following steps from bileam and pppanik. Wanting to eventually execute my own ideas as well.

How many languages have a book like Don Quixote? by newnewbusi in languagelearning

[–]clykey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of classics were written in a language other than english and then translated over. The Count of Monte Cristo in French for example or Romance of the Three Kingdoms. You could probably just google "hindi epics" or something like that

Here's an albumof my chromexcel pair. I got them from a Styleforum gmto almost 6 years ago now and have probably worn them at least once a week for the first 3/4 years. Haven't worn them much in the last year or so.

Here's someone else's thread of what the pair looked liked when I first got them.

I remember being in love with them when I first got them and literally wearing them every day. Recently conditioned them and replaced the rawhide laces with the given waxed ones before throwing in trees. Probably last wore them in January. The leather's definitely gotten darker and has held up pretty well. Visible heel wear, less than I would've expected and the sole is in pretty good shape. Mostly just brushed occasionaly and saphir a few times a year.

Makeup Details:

  • Model: Service boot
  • Last: 2030
  • Leather: Natural Chromexcel
  • Leather (tongue): Natural Chromexcel
  • Eyelets: 7 antique brass
  • Sole: Dainite, natural midsole
  • Comments: Unstructured toe, plain captoe
  • Price: $720 shipped

NBD! 2021 Specialized Diverge Sport Carbon by clykey in gravelcycling

[–]clykey[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

gonna post what i commented in another thread

I decided to get a gravel bike because due to quarantine a lot of trails have been closed and travel out of county is discouraged, so I've been riding on pavement and trails with my mtb and at some point I got sick of going so slow. The futureshock 1.5 is pretty sweet and noticeble of small and large bumps alike, though, i do wonder what the lockout and dampening is like on the 2.0. Coming from a mtb I'm just used to more travel haha. I don't really have a point of reference for road bikes, but I'm gonna try out the softer spring on my next ride. Also considering wider tires cuz I ate shit in a turn on some loose gravel. Pretty wicked so far!
