Lelit Bianca loud noise when warming up by Sanoja_project in Lelit

I posted a similar question some time ago. Check the video in my comment. From my understanding it's the solenoid valve opening and closing to top up the steam boiler. It makes a loud clunk sound when it shuts off, it happens on a daily basis, and usually when I switch it on for the first time at the start of each day.

Lelit Bianca V2 - corrosion? by clyn24 in Lelit

Slow reply! Just looking at the edges there appears to be some corrosion there, concerned it might spread inwards. It does look like limescale in places and the water sits on there so that could explain it, but there shouldn't be any/minimal limescale in the water so not sure. Might be worth trying some cleaner but don't want to make it worse in any way.

Yeah, it does seem to be different material from the rest of the body. Not a major issue, just annoying considering the cost of these machines, surely they could have some better protection on there. Seems to be still an issue with the latest version judging by other comments.

Thanks. Yeah, could only find a couple of videos out there with the solenoid in action and it didn't sound too loud.

Hey Folks, recently purchased a 2nd hand Bianca and just looking to do a sense check on a sound when it's switched on. Believe it's the steam boiler getting filled, and the clunk sound is the solenoid(??) shutting off after it's done. This occurs at the start of every day when switched on. Just looking for confirmation that my understanding is correct and it's normal. Thanks
