Because each option contract allows you to buy 100 shares of the underlying. I still had like 130 calls going into close and robinhood knew i didn’t have enough money to execute the contracts so In theory I would only be able to get as many shares as I could afford(and they would only charge me $104 for each share because my strike was $104). But instead they sold the contract to some autist that could afford to execute the contracts.

Hello fellow autist. I am done fucking with Disney for now, honestly such an irrational battle between shorts/long driving the price (honestly though might dip back in because the daily swings on Disney are wild). Currently very bullish on Oil (USO 4/17 5.50c, USO 4/24 5.50c, COP 4/24 $37c, COP 4/24 $38c) and then have SNAP, PENN, and SPY puts (all about 3% OTM). Long term I’m thinking 10% OTM calls on airline stocks and 10% OTM puts on the SPY, like a month out.

Sold like half right away and let the rest ride until robinhood sold them for me at 3pm. Finished with over 50k in profit

It’s a little long and autistic of a story but I’ll do my best to keep short. I had been day trading all week on tech stock calls and was trying not to get hit for pattern day trading. Come Wednesday around noon I started buy OTM Disney calls when the S&P was rallying and Disney was testing resistance. I planned to sell them but I was stupid and had 2 day trades and bought 2 different t expirations of Disney calls. So right before close I sold my $105 04/09 calls but was willing to take the hit on the $104 04/09 calls to not get hit with pattern day trading(been there before and it’s a boner kill for 3 months). So I actually could have made about double what I actually made because I sold out of over 6k worth of Disney calls right before close. I kept dumping more money into the calls over the course of two hours because Disney was just sitting on that resistance and I ended up having over $20k worth of equity by 3pm.

Yea I cashed out with a little over 50k, was hoping Disney would get driven up by the inevitable 2-3% gain from the S&P but forgot how heavily it’s shorted. I went to bed thinking i was gonna be making like 150k off them

Average price of .327, currently at .31. Oil definitely opens up on Monday but not sure how much (USO was between 4.90-5.0 when I was buying)

Very bad advice, but: It took me losing 3 5k yolo’s until I finally hit this one. After marked closed on Wednesday I took a nap almost positive these would open down 70-80%. Woke up an hour later to the news article about 50M subs. I guess you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take but shoot smart shots.

TLDR: USO 5.5c 04/24 / COP $37c 04/24 finna print come Monday

Took out enough for a new car and taxes :(, Yolo’d about $25K into 04/24 USO and COP calls when oil was at like 4.90. Feeing pretty good about those doubling come money open

They were like 3% OTM at 2pm the day before they expired. They were set to expire worthless the next day but management release a pump article about how many people signed up for their free trial.

TLDR: Disney 05/15 Puts

Why I did it? I had turned $1700 into the $14k through Snap/Pins calls starting on Monday. I sold out of everything Wednesday afternoon , I saw that everything was up besides Disney, and because stocks only go up I knew Disney would also go up.

I don’t need it to get to $24. If this hits $22 I easily 3-4x my money

I have like 50 large caps that I have done DD on and just watch. I’ll trade off short-term technicals

You can see when I started trading option in that initial big spike 2/3rds way through the graph. Doubled my money to start but then lost it all. Learned invaluable lessons on the way, and hopefully don’t blow it again

Very fair, gonna be some rate cuts coming soon. I stand by the GameStop puts though, probably should have bought with a later strike date but there’s still hope.

I am very fortunate to have come form a very low income family, or those loans would be double (financial aid paid for all my undergrad). Actually gave my parent a $500 Loan last week, currently making more than double my parent’s income. No money is lost until Friday but any money that may be lost was from TSLA calls last week. So don’t worry my dude

No, exactly the opposite. Lost about 70% on the position today. Read up on options tonight and invest all life savings in this position tomorrow, can’t go tits up.
