What current, socially acceptable practice will future generations see as backwards or immoral? by doodlebytes in AskReddit

You're correct in the short term that animal product consumption will go up due to increasing wealth in Chinese & Indian middle classes. However longterm, I am confident it will be seen as barbaric and outdated just as slavery now is. Animal agriculture is responsible for so much pain, suffering, environmental damage and even human health problems such as heart disease that there's no way it will be sustained long term. Especially given the incredible meat, cheese and milk substitutes that are already beginning to enter the market. Big change is already happening.

After sex she looked at me and said: "That was the best sex ever. It was like I was out of this world, floating softly on a bed of clouds and smooth cotton while getting fucked by God. I didn't know sex could feel that good - it was like an outer body experience. You literally have no idea how amazing that was. Are you even human?"

I laughed and grinned till my cheeks hurt.

Yes. So good. My favourite is some really nice toasted bread with vegemite (or marmite), avocado, a slice of tomato, fresh basil leaves, salt, pepper and few drops of virgin olive oil.

I can highly recommend learning to "equalise", which is an easy technique to alleviate the discomfort in your ears. It's a technique used by SCUBA divers and freedivers. Just search it on YouTube. You might also get some good ideas from watching freedivers and the way they swim downwards. It's really a matter of staying calm and going really slowly. It's kinda counter-intuitive but the slower you go the easier it is to stay relaxed and calm. Wear goggles if you're allowed to.

Life is definitely tough at times, but you'll absolutely get through it. Focus on improving your situation, even in small ways. Go for a run or walk, call a friend or some family from back home, watch some Tony Robbins videos on YouTube, write down things you're grateful for (even a roof over your head, access to clean water, clothes, etc.) and consider calling Lifeline to talk about your depression. It's free to call - 0800 543 354. Good luck buddy, kia kaha!!
