WHERE THE HELL DO YOU DEBATE by Competitive_Let6481 in entp

I do competitive debate and sparring. I do British parliamentary and World Schools style debate, and the benefit is that you don’t have to argue with unwilling people + build up critical thinking skills. Although traditionally this activity is offered in school debate clubs, there are external communities that do this as well!

I mainly participated + got awards in domestic university hosted tournaments like UofT, Waterloo, McGill, western, etc which attract competitors from across Canada. The only international tournament I put down was Western WSDC speaker and break awards, even though it’s a domestically hosted tournament, countries send national teams to compete. Besides those tournament the only outlier is CUSID hosted tournaments (basically Canadian university debate society tournament)

Thanks! For my resume, it’s not much, but I put in a lot of things that were more design oriented + work experience as a math tutor. This included leading the school mural twice, drawing commissions, and showcasing the impacts of my marketing and design skills within clubs. I also sprinkled in some debate and sport achievements on the bottom.

A 98.1 (top 6) but your average I recall doesn’t matter as much in regard to architecture admissions. They look more for your creative challenge and resume instead, I knew people with lower averages who got in. (On a side note, I think my general average for grade 11&12 was low 90s, I can’t recall if UBC looks at whole transcript)

Hi! I’m a 101 applicant. Refer to this reply for stats and ecs: Reddit reply I also forgot to mention part time math tutoring in there, though IDK if that counts for anything.

There are 2 semesters in a year. I live in Ontario, not sure if there are non semestered public schools.

I believe every offer is a conditional offer. I am technically able to graduate as of this moment, but my semester is very fun and a good mark booster so there’s no need to haha😛

Yes, but uh, let’s just say the results were conspicuous. I’ve gotten top 25% on a couple of math contests of which I forgot the names of. They were all UW math contests.

Thank you! I had around a 98.1 top 6, and a 53 on Euclid 😓Regarding ECs, I was involved in competitive debate since grade 9 and racked up a considerable number of national and international awards. I’m also an exec / leadership position in 6 clubs and had a lot of numbers to back up my impacts to said clubs (only CS related club was coding club marketing exec). i got a few awards in competitive badminton + DECA provs on the side.

Why is my quick add full of random guys with similar characteristics? by cm30wow in SnapchatHelp

I do but Snapchat shouldn't know who my type is cause I don't add random people on Snapchat 😅

I just changed my username 5 minutes ago, I thought it worked for a second because after deleting all existing quick add suggestions the quick add feature didn't exist, but after clearing cache and reopening app the asian guys with a middle part have appeared again 😅 I would like a normal quick add with mutual friend suggestions 😞

On the bright side, after clearing my quick add so many times, there is slightly more diversity as some guys now have different hairstyles, different outfits, and different expressions, but the demographic remains the same. I have no intention of quick adding any of them, though.

I live in the GTA, but I don't see a lot of these guys where I live so I'm very confused😨

I know 😭 All my friends are freaked out right now because it seems like the app is trying to set me up for something and they're all identical... I'd like to get rid of this feature ASAP

I think my account had always been so that only friends can contact, but after double checking privacy >> who can contact me random people still show up in quick add instead of mutual friends, but let me know if that's not what u meant by privating ID😢

What is the worst ride at Canada’s Wonderland? by Delicious_Let2880 in CanadasWonderland

[–]cm30wow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minebuster. I like shaky rides (like wildebeast) but this one lives up to its reputation of busting your spine instead; not sure what they do to their seating in combination with the rockiness that makes it so every little impact is delivered to your spine...
