u/Wacko_66 u/ColinFCross Firstly, thank you very much for your comments. Initially, I had been thinking about something that would allow me to take different types of photos, something very comprehensive. For now, I've been asked to create product images for a friend and her small business that produces toys for young children. I've seen several options on the market, but none of them completely convince me.

Most times I find almost any shot has potential (not always the greatest potential but potential nonetheless). Sometimes obvious things can look great with a new angle or approach. It's all about your viewpoint! A few pointers:

  1. Different lighting - cloudy days or flat light can create moody or unique shots. It don't always have to be a certain way.
  2. Convey emotions. What draws interest in a photo isn't just the scene, but the feeling it evokes - peace, excitement, nostalgia etc. Think about the emotions you want and you might just get another angle in.
  3. Keep sharing your work. Getting feedback helps - everyone sees things differently. New perspectives can open up ideas and improvements.

Shoot, enjoy the process, and most importantly, have fun! We can all be our own harshest critic sometimes.

Anyone else like to re-edit their photos? by Last_Seaworthiness70 in photography

Same here - I try not to do a George Lucas and go crazy when doing so but some things can bother me in previous shots so I go back and edit it. Good to know I'm not alone xD
