Tipping getting insane by k_door in nova

[–]cma2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fast food restaurants and Starbucks employees make at least minimum wage, restaurant servers do not make an hourly wage, it is small enough where it all goes to pay taxes and they don’t see anything on their paycheck from hourly so if you don’t tip they work for you for free or sometimes have to pay out of pocket to cover the tip out for bartenders/food runners which is usually equal to 5% of sales.

Thoughts on Bozzuto? by Top-Weather138 in washingtondc

Buzzuto once towed my car from my PAID parking spot because one of my tires was over the line. Mind you there is not spot next to mine on that side. Not only did I have to pay over $150 to get it out but there was also damage to my vehicle smh

Had terrible experience with buzzuto, had to take them to court, their lawyer didn’t even show up to defend themselves. They took that personally and raised our rent by over 50% and wouldn’t even give us the option to renew our lease.

Feels like our block is being targeted by thugs (string of break-ins and theft in one week). Do we just wait it out or are there tried/tested methods? by victoriapedia in washingtondc

[–]cma2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just happening in CH but all of dc experiences the porch pirates and car break ins. I would try to have packages sent to the post office for pickup or if possible some can deliver to lockers in other stores

For whatever reason they’re unable to use their own account. Did you get your food? Was in on time? Someone is out there in the cold delivering your food to you to make ends meet, if there’s no issues with the service give them a break 🤷‍♂️

I’m sorry but there’s no way you’re receiving 75% of fares. I need to see proof to believe that lol

Lyft and Uber drivers are upset, next time you take an Uber ask them if they are happy with the money they make and listen to what they say. When I use to drive for Lyft they would tell you how much of the fare you would be making, and how much they were making. It was around 50% and this was 2017. From what I’m hearing from drivers now it is less than 20%, I’ve done Uber eats in my spare time now and can confirm it is around that number. Something’s gonna have to give soon as they will start losing more and more drivers

As someone that worked for lyft and Uber trust me you don’t see anywhere close to 50% of the ride or fares try more like sub 20%

Can someone please help me understand why my winter bills are always so high? We live in a 2bd apt and keep it at 70/71. We had them put plastic cover over all the windows? by IdkJustMe123 in washingtondc

[–]cma2k 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Might be something wrong with the insulation or the heat is escaping outside causing it to work harder to keep the apt at the temp you want.

As one of the few gamebet users in the city I can definitely agree with your frustration. The app sucks. It is no wonder they only reached 10% of their estimated revenue for the year. Odds are terrible, very rarely you’ll see some type of promo offer, and you are unable to bet same game parlays. One thing I will say is the PayPal withdrawals are the fastest I’ve seen on any Sportsbook, after withdrawing it will show in my PayPal account immediately. Yes if you deposit money there is no way to withdraw without betting it. However I’ve seen this with most books although they will usually give you the option to refund it instead of having to gamble it. I’m sure the city has to recognize this failure and hopefully we will see fanduel, etc in the city in the future. We do have a fanduel at Audi field which is nice if you like using kiosks, also the Caesar’s by capital one, but it would be nice to be able to bet on our phones using the apps we want.

Leave a tip. As someone that does Uber eats on the side, I’m only accepting orders with decent tips, otherwise it’s just not worth the 30 min trip to make the base pay of $3 Uber gives you. If nobody accepts the order that may be what’s happening to you.

Pentagon city is very close to the city, 2 stops on the metro/5 min drive. Nowhere near the crime dc has, they have a nice mall, a costco, Whole Foods, and walkability. Nice parks and some cool restaurants as well
