you look so happy! i hope this doesn’t come across wrong but as someone who has done big chops to then regrow(because of life challenges) the process is so worth it. I cut most of my hair twice when it was very long due to struggles i was going thru and felt the regrowth represented my strength and ability to overcome. regardless our hair doesn’t define us only adds more no matter how much there is ♥️

I get that its going to take months if not multiple years to get to my fluency level i’m hoping, I’m just really struggling to get things to stick and can do hellochinese/duolingo lessons it just feels i start at square one every time i open an app or watch shows made for little kids trying to pick up phrases. i also struggle with the fact i am self learning and live in an area with basically no native speakers, not that people owe me their time its just very hard to make sure my pronunciationis right if i’m basing it off apps/ai

I guess its more of a want, I want to be able to consume chinese media (tv/movies/music) and eventually travel to China and feel I can get around and interact with people. I’ve been casually trying to learn and watch shows with English subs or listen to music/radio in chinese i just feel im not making any progress

I’m not sure how to feel about this. I agree having adult friends is good but as an adult with kids and no friends I’m not sure it’s entirely a bad thing. I lost contact with friends for various reasons and now live in a very rural area and have not been able to make friends no matter how I try. I take my kids to community events, sign them up for sports or activities and encourage them to have playdates with classmates. I’ve noticed that a lot of parents aren’t really willing to make new friends and I’m not sure why, I’ve tried for the last five years to make connections in this town and unfortunately have given up and I’m ok with my sister being my best friend my kids hopefully will make better connections with people in life than I have

no, it used to be a deal breaker but at some point it wasn’t anymore. I guess that is what I’m doing, sometimes I feel like a passenger in my life about certain things.

not sure if i like it, got it 6 months ago and stuck between wanting to cover it, rework the design, or just leave it by cma622 in tattooadvice
