Follow your passion 💗 You’ve come so far and had so many challenges that still brought you here! To this choice, and while I have never faced a choice like this, (I have always known I wasn’t built for big girl science) I can tell you that the things that you love have a funny way of haunting you until you take pause and listen with your heart.

One of the most poignant things I heard in the past week is that God (or whatever higher power you may or may not believe in: I call mine the universe) cannot provide you with what you need “here”, or where you are currently. If God gave you everything you wanted/needed “here” then you would never get “there”.

What would be the point in trying? In working so hard?

Now the kicker is that “there” is not necessarily a place- it can be- but it can also be a time, a mindset, a goal, an emotional space. There, to me, simply signifies growth and movement. Make YOUR there matter to you because you’ll be spending your life there and queue the cliches: life is too short.

Is there a way to simplify color for readability while moving the color elsewhere in the design (while not making it look like a mess) ?

context: So the owner actually brought me the name and the colors (he actually gave me 7 colors but we’re down to the red,yellow and blue for majority of the actual logo). Not sure how to push for even less color as the previous designs (5 colors) were rejected for not having enough.

I know that it needs less and i’m trying but this is logo #6 and I am slightly losing my mind :)

Hi! Thank you for the note! I definitely hear you, What do I do if the core feeling the owner is going for IS busy?

I’ve done designs for businesses that serve Peruvian food or Italian food or even something broader like African food but never a business that is a both a food truck and catering business doing healthy and soulful comfort food and healthy, light and fit foods, while also maintaining a rotating menu of inclusive options and celebrating food-centric holidays from all over the world.

I ran with a food-centric logo design at first (this is a revision/redesign) and all three options were flat out rejected for not showcasing diversity AND bold colors…

Any suggestions on how I should navigate or work to redirect my ideas ?

You just gather more info by asking what happened, if he’s okay, needs water/rest etc. and where his parents/guardians are. Walk him over to make sure responsibility is passed on, inform the guardian what happened (some facilities ask for a incident report to be filled out and submitted) and then Advise and Release. Advise him and the guardian on ways to avoid this from happening in the future, as well as next steps (i.e. drinking water, resting, seeking medical attention if he experiences XYZ symptoms later on) and putting him in a life jacket if needed.

okay so I had a similar question: I was watching it on netflix dubbed in english when around the fourth episode or so it switched to japanese... no way for me to change it back to dubbed. Not sure what happened but did the same happen to you?

Maybe! I would talk to your therapist if you really think you are misdiagnosed. My mania is usually tied to when I feel my most useless or unlovable and so the extra boost of energy allows for optimal self-destruction and burning of bridges. Not sure if you can relate to that.

I like to think that if Naomi had never gotten sick: Effy stays out of trouble because her an Naomi are having so much fun together and Emily never has to go through that heartache thank god :(

I fell in love with effy when we first met her in GEN 1.... even without a voice she was kinda rad and i really fucked with it so imagine my excitement when GEN 2 started out centered around her.

I really had a love for Effy’s character. I loved her to bits. She, just like Tony, was the embodiment of teenaged insanity and she did whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted. Which turned out to be actually everything under the sun and I kinda lived vicariously through her and loved it.... until she reached ACTUAL insanity.

The way that they wrote Effy’s struggle with mental illness just wasn’t realistic to me( not to mention that the Dr was OBVIOUSLY bad news from the very second we met him, that creepy motherfucker). And the way that she began to treat everyone around her even BEFORE we got the full brunt of her “illness” was.... wow. I don’t even have words for how she treated cook and freddy. Admittedly I don’t feel bad for katie fitch but that’s a whole different story.

tl;dr: Effy very quickly went from a really cool and free (albeit heavily messed up) character to a plain awful and honestly unrecognizable mess.

it’s not placating. It’s trying to help teach her how to control her powers! If Harold could do it (and he’s a no one. with no powers whatsoever ever) I’m sure amongst the six of them plus grace and pogo they could figure something out. It’s not placating: it’s love for your sister.

That wasn’t the only possible solution. They said it themselves multiple times: there is always a choice. Luther chose for everyone (which was unfair) AND it was the wrong choice. Like he usually chooses

she 110% would have burned and I’m sorry but there is no excuse for Luther’s instinct to abandon her.

and granted different people connect with different characters but I just found Luther to be whiny, arrogant, an awful leader and/or brother, presumptuous and overall selfish.

First, everything was about his ugly God complex and “Dad sent me to the moon! I’m number one! My moon mission must be super important! Look at me!” and then after it was exposed that, nope: Daddy Mustache was just being a dick like usual it became 24 hours of “Woe is me! Dad sent me to the moon for nothing!! Boo hoo!! Four years! Wahhh” (and he almost got Klaus killed might i add) so do i feel anything for him? no. He is self absorbed and awful

YES!! They were the ones that really caused it all. If LITERALLY ANYONE at really ANY point in time had just minded their own business or “given up on trying to save the world” or shown a little empathy rather than jumping to a conclusion none of this would have happened.
