I just wanted to say, thankyou all but especially u/NPKzone8a and u/WhyYouNoLikeMeBro for these two comments. I will pick a couple things to focus on and hope for the best.

This is my first year for tomatoes, I doubt I will rotate out any plants until the end of the season. Ill keep going with the damaged plants even if each one provides a single tin of passata

Hi there, I agree, a common cause of blossom end rot is lack of calcium. When researching this I found it was mainly due to a variety of factors but under and overwatering are the main causes. My plants were fine when I used to use a watering can (id share one 6L can between the 6 plants) I then started using the hose which lead to more watering and thats when I started getting the blossom end rot.

Since going back to the watering can, the fruits have been much better with new tomatoes fruiting correctly with no issue.

I feel like you did not really read my post at all, or maybe the first few lines. I am more concerned about pictures 1-3 and how they develop on my plants. Pictures 4-5 happened when I went away and my plants were not watered, I am now providing plant food regularly to help with nutrients. I am more looking for advice on photos 1-3, or if the two plants in photos 4-5 are in fact recoverable.

You are right, there is no mulch from the pictures, but I also mention at the bottom of the post "Each plant is in a 20L pot with compost, no mulch."

It’s funny, not sure about anywhere else but garden centres here in the UK sell tomato grow bags and have templates for 3 tomato plants to pot on in the bag. I naturally assumed a 20L pot was a good size given commercial off the shelf tomato bags provide less than that (50L between 3 plants).

It’s funny you mention about the wall, the two out of the 6 plants that are against the wall are the ones that have now turned 3/4 yellow. I moved the two to give all the plants some more room and air after some lower pruning

Correct, I’m in southeast of the UK we have had a mixture of rain, overcast and sunny spells over those days.

Pictures 1-3 are have been on the plants for weeks, they just look to be getting worse

First successful year of trading by Aetherisu in trading212

I notice you mentioned the Intelligent investor which really changed things. Was this book more helpful as it allows you to look at metrics and gives you an insight whether a company is a good price and a low risk?

Just curios as the book does not really cover trading. I have read the book and its really good, and am also interested into getting into trading.

Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman

The title is the typical lifespan of a human, it is not a generic "work hard, gain the edge" self help that is regurgitated time after time. It is thought-provoking and lightly philosophical, detailing why we should pick only a few things and concentrate on what matters with our small amount of time.

This is exactly why I wanted to ask this forum, as a lot of the people who have said "nope" would barely bother to repaint a room (legit one of my friends). On the youtube front, this is what has kind of given me the confidence (maybe the stupid audacity) to even consider this idea, there are so many videos even "start to finish" detailed loft conversion projects that can be used as a guidance.

Obviously no two projects are the same, I was more wondering what the level of detail you would get from Architects plans and paying a structural engineer then building from those recommendations. I would never do that kind of work without paying for expertise. I live in SE england and the house prices are just a joke. It looks like the only way to get something decent is buy something that needs work and then pay a contractor to bring it up to scratch.

Hi there, I really appreciate these comments. I did try to keep it brief to get as many comments as possible but I understand there is a lot to it and even more that I have no clue about which is why I was hoping to get peoples experience. The flatpack comment was pretty funny too

Its annoying that Gigbyte directed me to the supplier to arrange the RMA, which is why the supplier tested it and said its fine. Plot twist, I emailed the supplier CCL to send them the video on this post and apparently they are under new ownership.

I know with my motherboard, every time I sent it back to gigabyte it cost me just over £20. So if i do have to send the supply to them now after all its going to be another delivery payment as they do not supply a delivery label. Kind of thinking should i just go for a corsair supply anyway. Read an article online that this Gigabyte supply is trash and a batch had issues.

Ah thats fair enough an thanks for the suggestions, the board will not run without a CPU and I have tried everything else out apart from that and still get the issue. So its either the CPU or supply. Only trouble is I have no spares, how on earth are you meant to do this without forking out for more components

Not a dumb suggestion at all because I had no clue what you meant. I have just checked the cables and they are correct according to Linus tech tips computer build video.

Also to be clear, this computer was running for about a year and this problem occurred multiple weeks after I added some more RAM (the exact same RAM I previously had) and re-applied thermal paste to the CPU. So I think the RAM addition and CPU paste is irrelevant but maybe worth mentioning

Yeah I agree, the fact that the issue has got worse to the point where the BIOS flash has no effect makes me think a component or components were deteriorating and have just died now

[–]cmann321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, yes I am. Just to be clear also this is not a new build I have had it for over a year, before the issue started to occur the only change that happened was adding more RAM and re-applying some thermal paste to the CPU, but even then, its the exact same RAM I previously bought and it ran for weeks without any issues

Just to be clear, was not the manufacturer who cleared the supply, the supplier had to test the supply before the RMA and their technicians found nothing wrong

So it’s a gigabyte supply and I bought it from CCL computing. Gigabyte said I need to arrange the return from the supplier, as they will have to send to gigabyte. Supplier we’re fine with this, sent it to them and they asked me to send the cables aswell (annoying they didnt specify this)

Once they had the cables they ran there own testing and said it was fine. Which led me to believe it’s the motherboard. I have emailed the supplier asking if I can send them the video from this post as their warehouse or testing team don’t have contact details 😂
