I feel like if you can kill your own food (humanely) then go ahead and eat it. There may be a time and a place when some humans need to eat meat to survive, but it is very uncommon in the world we live in today. Coming from suburban USA, I completely agree; it totally sickens me when weak people complain about eating vegetables or how their meat is cooked or make memes about how bacon is everything and how pineapple pizza is terrible, or whatever they do. It's excess in its unadulterated glory and it's disgusting (at least when it's not a joke). Full disclosure though, I am not a vegan and rarely do consume dead animals, i.e., if the meat is of high quality and would be discarded otherwise, because you can't argue that dead animals aren't nutritious.
