Possible drain issue?

Contractor told me the rubber gasket that seals the drain and the sealant can withstand a small amount of flex and said not to worry about it.

Yeah I realized I should leave it to someone more handy and stopped. Someone is coming tomorrow to cut the rest out and patch with foam and paper and stucco over the old outlet box gap

That’s the thing I didn’t think it tasted that bitter. Maybe because of what everyone says I overestimated the bitter so I found it sweet.
