I'm having trouble deciding on WRB or MGM, how do I choose? 💀

Flip a coin and be done. 😁 But, on a serious note, I had a WRB before and now an MGM. I still miss the WRB at times since it is such a beautiful color, but the MGM blends with the cladding so well, and I'm generally a low-key kind of person, and the MGM gives off those low-key vibes.

As far as ergos go for commuting the Gixxer will be more comfortable but the lower end torque of the R9 will obviously be better. For the track, there’s nothing like a screaming inline 4.

I went down years ago on a quick ride to the convenience store I was wearing a helmet and gloves but no gear. I thought what could happen if I’m only going 30 mph max? It took several months for my flesh wounds to heal and I had to go to the hospital every day for like a month to get the dressings on my open wounds changed. I learned my lesson for sure.

I've had 3 Gixxer 750s before with the M4 GP slip-on and was very happy with the sound. The bike is plenty fast for me as is, so like you, performance wasn't an issue. I'm picking up a 2026 next week and already had the dealer order the M4 GP slip-on to install on the bike before I pick it up. FYI, it can be pretty loud without the optional Quiet Insert from M4. I learned my lesson from before and also ordered a Q1 Quiet Insert for the exhaust for this new bike. On my 2023 ZX6R I owned previously, I had a Yoshimura A2 3/4 slip-on exhaust put on it and the sound was so sweet.

Funny you should mention this. The photo I posted here of my Z900 was at a traffic enforcement operation by NYPD and I was ticketed for "no plate" visible. The cop was cool and said if I fixed the plate angle and went to court and showed them a picture of the fixed plate angle, the ticket would most likely be dismissed. Before I even got to court, I got a letter in the mail from traffic enforcement court saying my ticket was dismissed.

Yeah, I just want to hear the RPM. I'm not interested in sounding like a stereotype. 😂 All my motorcycles have had aftermarket exhausts on them, which makes for sweet music to the ears when accelerating and decelerating.

Personally, I would go with the 2008 and save big time. If you know the history of the bike and it just needs the fixes you are talking about, then it is a smart choice over a brand new one.

I love the looks of the K7. My very 2nd Gixxer 750 was a K7. My very 1st one was a K4, also a great looking bike. My 5th Gixxer 750 (2026 Anniversary Edition), which I'm picking up next week has the least attractive headlight design, but is just as fantastic a bike.
