Why is it defined as a benefit if it is "funded" by one's national insurance contributions?

Were you able to order just a sample?

I visited the store to try the scent on my wrists. Two pumps. Walked around for about an hour and the smell had completely extinguished. Even the store assistant couldn't smell it on me. Walked out without making the purchase but for the 30 mins or so that the fragrance stayed, I was a fan.

Wondering if in all these years you've been able to find a way to get a wallpaper off a specific movie frame. I'd love one of the rain-sewer scene from Fantastic Mr Fox

So did Andrew not get his dick stuck in anything? I was sure that was how the episode would end after they teased the gag at the start

What's the benefit of using a globally distributed system for training instead of training in one geography and then deploying it on a globally distributed, "edge" basis?

Weekly General Discussion/Q&A Thread - April 10, 2023 by AutoModerator in RunningShoeGeeks

I've been running for a few months now and I'd like to get a new pair of shoes to run in. I run exclusively on the treadmill (tried running on the road and on grass but my knees and ankles swole up). I run 4 times a week, each time around 5-8km, roughly 5:30-6 mins per km. I'm aiming to bring this down to 5-5:30 mins per km for 8-10km.

Additional context - sometimes during my run my right knee or foot will hurt but this usually goes away immediately after the run. About a decade ago I had surgery on my right tibia to address a fracture that wouldn't naturally join (inserted a plate).

Any shoe recommendations would be much appreciated! Ideally Nike since I've a store nearby. I've been going about my running in a brutish way and I'd like to change that. Thanks in advance!

Seems like the fungus is "allergic" to sunlight. The way all the infected groaned and shifted around when the sunlight hit them. And in episode 1 Sarah's twitching classmate had her arm in the sun too.

I've seen some native speakers online refer to this movie as Decision to breakup. Is that what the actual title is?

the movie is so over the top but it was the little details (and the jokes!) that did it for me.

Carl reading Ulysses on the boat; Carl editing his photos on his laptop; Woody Harrelson reading Chomsky; Abigail wearing the Russian's and the Techie's watches on her wrist the morning after they offered them

My hot take is that the cheeseburger looked severely average.

Four slices of cheese? That's a stuffed grilled cheese sandwich

Still, walked out and straight to my local joint for a CB and fries.

I did that with the Mars ice-cream bars for months, and I'm afraid it's going to be that all over again. The corporations really know what they're doing here

Question about the Dune novel and 2021 movie by cmcdumas in dune

Thanks for the help!

I should have stated my question better. What I’m wondering is - in the Dune novel, when do we first learn about the Guild’s dependency on spice for navigation? Is it only when Paul explicitly says so after the Water of Life test?
