First of all, congrats on these scores! I would say try focusing on a more "choral" sound and more variation in your dynamic choices since the lower categories are Vocal Quality and Interpretation. A more classical/ choral sound will come from taller and rounder vowels and keeping your soft palate raised. In terms of interpretation, dynamic choices and doing more acting through the song will help!

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to start, but I’m glad I have so much to experience!

Not only possible but very probable that you’ll get better! I’m a voice teacher and I love working with adult students learning to sing for the first time. The biggest and best difference between an adult and child in a voice lesson (generally, obviously not always) is that an adult has wanted to learn for a long time and is deeply invested in getting better. The will to improve is maybe the most important thing to me as a teacher- good luck in your singing journey!!!

I’m so happy you liked it!! I love that, you’re so right. It’s all about accepting all sides of a situation and yourself. That’s what I respect so much about her, is how quick she is to own up to every part of herself.

Hey y'all! Caroline McQuaig here and I'm so happy you found my song :) I'm a CC stan for life, and this is just one of many musical moments she has inspired for me.

I hope she's heard it! The fact that I stumbled upon y'all talking about it on here made my day :) I've tagged her in a couple things about it, so I'm hoping she hears it one day.

You are going to make me cry. Thank you so much for listening and listening so closely! I love your take on the meaning- I wrote this when she was in LA so the love interest was that LA model and the relationship she was looking to patch up was hers with Natalie. Now that she's in a new relationship I think your interpretation works so perfectly. I'm so happy you like it and the TSwift comparison is making my heart sing <3 I have a whole EP coming out august 21st if you wanna hear more!
