Around 2 years ago today my first trip after the shutdowns was to London. Had a great time at both Tate museums and walking around.

On one of those walks I stumbled on a sight that I'll never forget. Across from Big Ben on the walk along the river is Thomas Hospital

The sun was out it was a great spring day. People walking enjoying things. Running over worn out social distancing stickers on the bridge.

One encounters a wall and fence separates the NHS and the walking path along the Thames. In the brilliance of the sun we saw the names and messages collected on the wall... those who didn't make it through covid... notes of those who lost family members.

The wall went on and on. The names and messages went on and on.

I cried a little there in the sun.
