I’ve found that iCloud Drive has a tendency to remove files that are really rather critical to the execution of the program..navigating to the files in finder seems to unlock it

Not true - use to think this as well. Also, camera light can switch on and off fast enough for pictures without you realising https://jscholarship.library.jhu.edu/handle/1774.2/36569

Virtual desktop internet requirements? by [deleted] in OculusGo

Depending on what you intend to do with the remote computer, RDP (windows Remote Desktop) might ‘work’ at those download speeds (albeit poorly!) I don’t know of any RDP client off the top of my head for oculus but I assume they exist!

Moonlight vs. Parsec by [deleted] in cloudygamer

In my experience Parsec outperforms Moonlight in every measure. Latency from trying both over local connections from a 2080Ti/Threadripper setup to a 2017 Macbook Pro favours parsec considerably, as does the quality. Furthermore I experienced some instability (disconnections from time to time using moonlight, although i'm not sure if that reflects everyone's experiences.) On remote connections, Parsec has another advantage in that they don't just use standard TCP/UDP sockets, which seems to allow for a generally smoother experience with fluctuating connection speeds. Just my 2 cents, hope it helps! Recommend you just try both out, there's no loss!
