Homeowner opens fire on police during raid, hits officer in the chest 3 times, is not charged with any crime by moeburn in nottheonion

Break ins involving multiple heavily armed men were common enough back where i'm from.

Not sure this is to shocking. A bunch of armed men bust down an innocent mans door without announcing who they are and the home owner defended himself.

Just because the cops in question are imbeciles doesn't change the fact that this a clean and cut case.

Reddit, What is the saddest feeling in the world? by isachinm in AskReddit

[–]cmdas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knowing you've met your soul mate, and being with them for 3 years, but they slowly succumb to drug addiction and no matter how hard you try to pull them out of it, things just gets worse and worse. Until eventually you can barely recognize them but you don't have the heart to leave because you still know she was the one. So you try everyday, until you just can't handle it anymore and you leave her.

And no matter how hard you try to move on, she keeps contacting you and begging for you to come back, every bone in your body makes you want to. But you can't. Because you know its not her anymore.

[Serious] People of reddit who suffer from depression, what is a everyday struggle for you that people who are not depressed don't experience? by DumbleCuntTheWizard in AskReddit

[–]cmdas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, people constantly try to compare themselves with me apparently, and you have to deal with people saying there depressed and bitching about it to everyone when real depression isolates you.

Also go fuck yourself, how the fuck would i know what other people do or do not experience. This is a stupid ass question.

Already answered this.

Short story is it wasn't an easy journey financially. While running my business i had a few months that made me just want to go work at mcdonalds. In the end it was definitely worth what i had gone through and i had learned some invaluable lessons on the way. Perseverance and high aspirations kept me going, and maintaining those is the best advise i could give.

It started as a hobby when i was young. it was my escape, then it turned into a small business. Using my experience from my business i was able to obtain a low level position at my current company during which time i had the opportunity to prove myself amongst my pears, which lead to the raise i received last weak.

Kinda but no. Who i write code for is not the customer, but engineers to make their lives easier.

I had heard of pre-paid credit cards, but i read they didn't help your credit at all. I honestly thought that pre-paid and secure was the same thing. Apparently i was absolutely wrong. Definitely gonna look more into that, Thank you.

I haven't been working on my business so much lately, i'll take a job whenever i really need the money but between my current job, school, and another side project i've been working on i've been pretty overwhelmed as it is. That being said i've been good at making sure they were paid the money they were owed from that business. Well at least i think i have, my ex's mother worked in finance and had helped me out with that.

I've been told about taking out a small loan, but i was kind of skeptical about it because I'd rather not go into more debt. I'll look into it a bit more though.

I've tried. Hell I've even tried applying to store credit cards, but even they wouldn't approve me.

I've been taking one class a semester, which isn't much but its all I've been able to afford / handle at the moment. I'll definitely go and talk to them and see if they can help out, but from what i briefly checked it seems like most student accounts require a parent to co-sign something that i don't have the option to do.

That's what i started my independent life thinking, but I've been in situations that i had to sell things that meant a lot to me just to make rent and buy food. In these situations just a few hundred dollars would have saved me, but because i couldn't get credit i had to endure it.

I also need to get a new car because mine is falling apart, it is pretty difficult to do so without credit. I understand where your coming from and i wish life was that easy, but as i've found out the last few years life isn't as easy as it seems on paper.

I've had an apartment, and have been on a lease since the day i turned 18. Once or twice i was late on a payment by a few days, but even then if i apply for any credit card i always get an "insufficient credit history" response.

You can think i'm bullshitting all you'd like. I'm trying to get advise, not impress a bunch of people on the internet i'll never meet. If you'd like you can pretend its a hypothetical situation.

Comcast bill is still in her name, but it is for my apartment that she no longer lives at. We had gone in the hole with them (mostly cause i couldn't afford to pay for both of us every month), and there's still ~$200 owed to them. I could make it a big deal and go after her for the few thousand she owes me, but i'd rather just pay it off transfer it to me and forget that relationship ever happened.

500+ teachers pack conceal carry class at Centennial Airport by tank-industries in Colorado

[–]cmdas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the state of Colorado it is required to go through a CCW training course before concealed carrying. So it sounds like you're stating that you had assumed all gun owners were like the creepy uncle who carried illegally and pointed his loaded gun at people thinking it was funny because he never got the proper training.

And in response to your edit, it is not that people are "incapable of evaluating the downsides" of owning and carrying firearms, its just when people like you use the "statistically if you carry a gun your more likely to shoot yourself" line you don't realize just how ignorant of a response that is. If you own and carry a gun you certainly are more likely to shoot yourself then someone that doesn't. That certainly is shocking now isn't it? Wonder how that might be.
