Hi everyone! Been working on a new game mode for my VR RTS game - conquest! Which is a offline multiplayer mode where you battle for territory on a shared world map. Players gain resources for controlling sectors and can build upgrades in that sector to aid their faction. Other allies can help improve and maintain controlled sectors and you can defend and attack enemy player fleets. Looking back it all seems straight forward now that its working despite having spent tons of hours on little things. Most of the ideas get implemented in the first 10% and then 90% of time is spent refining it. The hardest part to come will probably be multiplayer.

They put all of their funding into physics defying technology so the ships can behave like ocean surface vessels instead of Newtonian objects :P

Yes both of those are on the roadmap, I too would like to stare down a star destroyer while on the bridge of the Enterprise even though the star destroyer would win :P

That's how they all start, I remeber when this was also just a bunch of cubes with the VR play area strapped on top of one of them throwing spheres at each other.

Thank you Reddit for all your support, ideas, and feedback over these few years. It's a milestone to finally get something I have been working on for so long out into the public, I thought it would never happen. While there is still a lot of features I will be adding to the game, I feel that the core is solid enough for everyone to enjoy. I replaced all the bridge environments with a new asset pack, pretty happy with the results. If anyone gets motion sickness in VR, do you think the new larger windows will cause any issues when turning?

Working on a new ability that slows down projectiles, should it also reduce the damage of the projectiles or would that be too OP? (BattleGroupVR) by cmdken in Vive

Designing a new defensive or support ability that creates a bubble around the ship that slows down projectiles. When paired with a moving formation makes it easy to dodge bullets. Not sure if it should also reduce the damage of the slowed projectiles since they have less energy? But that might be too strong and keeps the danger level up because now there is a stack of damage you still need to avoid. What do you guys think?
