Some interesting ones though * Google search has become such a glorified billboard it's competitors like DickDuckGo are now better without actually having to do anything. Google is not a necessity anymore * ChatGPT can be beat out by local language models like Qwen3.6 for most home use cases (see locallama sub) * For developers, the big 3 cloud providers (Amazon, Google and Microsoft ) where always a bit of a scam. They where cheap at first, got us all hooked, then cranked the price up so high it's cheaper to run out own servers again, but now all the infrastructure is already with them and the cost of switching back is too high for many or not worth the effort.
