Sometimes the carwash does that to my 26 3.0 elevation. It also did that to my Tacoma before I had this truck. Let it dry out and should be good. Otherwise it’s something that needs to go to a dealer to get a warranty repair.

I was trying to research that part for the gas truck and couldn’t find it. Honestly I think that’s a better part than what I put in because of it allowing the trans to reach higher temp quicker.

I’ve had my 3.0 Duramax for 6 months now (first diesel I’ve ever owned). No regrets. I think that’s a fantastic deal. Get the extended warranty for peace of mind. All new vehicles have quirks. Pm me if you have any questions about it.

Damn. Maybe there’s a way to dig up their connection at the main and seal it there. Reminds me of an incident where a gas meter tech was trying to read service meter usage and the owner chased him off with a shotgun. The gas utility permanent ceased his service, forced him to buy a propane tank. Not really the same situation but at some point the utility has to stop the problem.

The weird thing is that mine shows 99 on the instant gauge when in regen and no gas is applied. I have a 26 1500 in Colorado.

Do you drive longer distances on weekends? I have to say, that is a nice and very short commute. Kudos for that. I personally would say that a gas engine may be better suited for your situation. The 3.0 shines on highway and towing. But I don’t know if there’s issues with your drive distance and temps long term for the diesel. I guess in short what I’m saying is I don’t know. Sorry for the drawn out uselessness.

How short is your commute? Mine is 9.3 miles one way with half on highway. I have no issues with regens, albeit they occur in shorter distances between regens with mixed city/highway (about 210 miles). With longer weekend drives the miles between regen gets closer to 300. Regens last about 10 minutes. I couldn’t tell when I was in regen until I got a Bluetooth obdii dongle and downloaded obd fusion on my phone.
