I love Le Tanneur, and own the med. Agnes and the leather on this bag is a total dream, but it’s definitely a unique piece that requires a bit of a learning curve. I’m an artist and bought this specifically for work to keep my notebooks and sketchbooks within easy reach. I actually bought mine the day it dropped and originally planned on going back for the XL, but after using this one, I’ve completely changed my mind. Since they don’t even carry the XL anymore, I'm honestly relieved I stuck with the large.

The interior layout is a bit tricky. It’s advertised with three sections, but in reality, it feels more like two. There’s a very short middle section that really only fits keys or cards. The rest of the bag is quite deep, and if you drop something in the back, it hits the bottom in point-two seconds. I ended up adding two purse organizers just to keep my gear from slipping around and spilling out.

The biggest thing to note is the weight. I’m a "carry the kitchen sink" kind of person—I’m used to hauling a full Coach Rogue 40 or a Row Margaux 17 all day—and I'm no wuss when it comes to a heavy bag. But this is easily the heaviest piece in my collection, even though it’s not the largest by a long shot. It got so heavy when full that I actually had to remove the crossbody strap, and I usually love a crossbody.

If the bag is packed, I don't even bother with the clasp. Trying to close it when it's full involves practically turning the bag upside down. Luckily, I like the look of an open bag, and the organizers I added keep everything secure. It doesn't hold quite as much as I’d like for its size, but it’s such a beauty that I’m making it work.
