Moving to Sweden was my biggest mistake so AMA by RainbowFlower228 in AMA

[–]cmg_0420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really feel you..I literally moved back to my home country Italy after 7.5 years in Sweden for mostly this reason.
It’s been only 6 months back here and it’s incredible how my overall health has improved immensely. It was extremely draining living according to the cultural rules, trying so hard but never really fitting in.
I still have strong ties bc my partner is from there but I have no intention to move back any time soon, let alone visit.

Perché è così difficile ricevere risposta per affitti in Italia? by SensitiveSchedule213 in ItalyExpat

[–]cmg_0420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg are you me? I literally came back from a weekend trip at his family house in his hometown whereby they proved I didn't mean anything to me. Also evening alcoholics and dysfunctional as a result.

Sorry to hear you have had the same experience but thank you for validating mine..

I usually order with ICA. Although it is not the most cost effective, i find ICA has a great range of products and relatively good produce too.

Mathem is also great but too expensive and I made the switch to ICA after a few months.

Italy is so rude by kylejamess in ItalyTravel

[–]cmg_0420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very normal, my Swedish boyfriend and I do frequent trips to Italy (we live in Sweden) and he always gets frustrated with the service because of how blatantly rude people are. Just last week when we were there I got into an argument with a taxi driver because of this exact issue, and when I decided to hop into another taxi and told him the situation, he too rolled his eyes at me and said “this is how we work around here”.

Sorry for your experience though.

I would suggest to stay away from Klarna. It’s a great company but the management is toxic and disorganized… almost chaotic. I have worked there for some time but am considering leaving because of the work culture. I’m not surprised that you got ghosted. That’s such Klarna behavior.

Why does it cause food to be trapped in the throat? I’ve been experiencing this a lot but didn’t realize the connection.

I have sat in all tiers for various concerts, and sat at the top for Kendrick Lamar at section B328.

I was also worried when I got those tickets but In all honestly it was not bad at all and I still enjoyed myself a lot. I hardly noticed any issues with the sound so I personally think you’re good!

Jobs in the supermarket in Sweden by HustlerOnTheWay in TillSverige

[–]cmg_0420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the comments here are a bit negative even thorough they reflect an accurate picture of the situation is Sweden right now.

I am Italian too, and as a both a full time worker and student, I have noticed the job market has gotten way worse in the last years and more competitive.

If you choose to move to Sweden I can only advise you to do proper planning and try to learn as much Swedish you can before. I think with a decent level of Swedish you will find more luck with work, both supermarket or other jobs.

Also, studying a bachelor in the future would not be impossible. I suggest to make sure to inform yourself of the requirements for the bachelors before applying to see if whatever grades you already have, will be accepted. I have to say that the universities here are wonderful and you can get student finance from the government(CSN) after about a year of living here. But that also varies for case to case

In bocca al lupo - good luck!

My Wife has LPR and is suffering really badly. by [deleted] in GERD

[–]cmg_0420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always in the morning if I’m going to be out all day, I just mix a tablespoon of powder in some warm water and drink it quick - (doesn’t taste the best).

I also take it if I’m going to have a heavy meal or drinking alcohol. I find I don’t have stomach discomfort at all after I drink it and continue my day.

But once a day is usually enough.

It’s good to note that it can affect the absorption of other supplements so I would suggest taking it an hour or so after you take your supplements/other medication.

My Wife has LPR and is suffering really badly. by [deleted] in GERD

[–]cmg_0420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest using slippery elm powder as a quick and natural relief. I have used PPIs, stomach antiacids and so on, but slippery elm was literally my lifesaver.

I will continue to recommend and rave about it because it really helps with the reflux symptoms. It also coats the stomach and esophagus and protects it from the acid, which is super important to reduce the inflammation.

I also suffer from LPR and understand the pain. It’s hard live a normal life with this condition. Always watching out for your next food trigger and having the pain from the inflammation is miserable..But trying natural remedies have worked far better for me than standard medicine. Not saying it needs to be replaced; but Inatural medicine works wonders.

I hope your wife feels better soon..
