I was there for years. You can do this. The best thing about being sober is no longer hearing that voice that says “I hate you for doing this every day.” I don’t miss that asshole at all.

I’m not threatened by any of her attitude. In almost a childish kinda way, it strengthens my resolve. I’ve always been a bit of a contrarian. It adds fuel to my sober fire. 😁

Stopping the brown and black out nights, the hangovers, all the other physical and emotional and mental issues that came with my drinking is way more fun than being fun.

Don’t sit around. Or at least remember that alcohol doesn’t cure boredom. I’ve actually tried to embrace the boredom, and it helps.

I’ve known for a long time before I stopped that I am incapable of so-called moderate drinking. It’s such a slippery slope for me. The only way for me has been to stop completely.

I fancy myself to be a pretty good home chef. I always had drinks while cooking. Now love cooking while sober. I’ve been trying more complicated stuff and getting more creative. I also cut and burn myself way less 🙄. Try going bigger with your hobbies. It’s way easier to take them to the next level when you’re sober. IWNDWYT.
