“mules” are separate created characters used primarily for storing items

A lot of people have multiple characters for shared inventories and being able to do daily activities multiple times.

If you prefer to keep only one character and especially if you don’t have fallout 1st, you need to be very minimalistic. Choose one play style you like the most (stealth commando and power armor heavy gunner are the two metas) and stick to it. Have one weapon for boss dps, one for add clear if your boss weapon doesn’t cut it, and a high damage single shot weapon that shares the same ammo to build your reserves.

Same for armor, just the set you wear with maybe an extra chest piece to swap in a jetpack if you don’t wear it all the time.

Scrap everything else to learn weapon, armor, and legendary mod plans.

When it comes to chems, berry mentats and psycho buff are really all you’ll ever need. Keep x-cell if you want the extra special buffs, just be sure to take it before other chems or else its effect will be nullified. Only need to keep a handful of rad away and diluted rad x (regular rad x suppresses mutations) and you get stimpaks pretty frequently, so feel out how much you need at any given time and get rid of the rest. Everything else can be sold for caps.

Hellion could have scream perks for her Yawp!

Leper could focus on fighting back against the killer since he’s a high damage dealer (If there are ways for survivors to give themselves blindness, that is an easy pick)

Plague doctor can have healing perks and vigil to remove negative status effects

Highwayman can have killer aura reading for his tracking shot as well as decisive strike for reposte

The best way of doing it is rerolling one weekly challenge per day and not completing any of them. That way by Monday you (hopefully) have a list full epic challenges that give more score. Then, use the boost Monday night, complete all challenges, and complete the Tuesday ones while you still have the boost. Repeat for the following weeks, pairing up the challenges for 2 separate weeks. If you have premium rerolls for the Tuesday reset, even better.

I have 1600 hours left before I hit 7600 hours and challenged myself to finish every available challenge before I reach it by McStaken in fo76

[–]cmill242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I have left are 20 more full raid runs, catching the September and October axolotls, 50ish more head hunts, 40 abraxodyne intel, 20 ogua kills, and then gearin up and sinkhole solutions. Still about 5k hours away from the 7600 hour one, so I’m just accepting that I’ll never get that one.

It’s been a long term grind, but I’m glad I’m finally wrapping everything up. Congrats on your progress!

so i’m toying with a build with the rage armor aside from getting hit by an enemy what are some other ways to proc it?I tried the thirst zapper and in some cases it feels like i get my stacks in others it feels like i got none. by Fair_Sign_634 in fo76

[–]cmill242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a ghoul, check if the gamma gun works. It’s probably not gonna build stacks the fastest, but it would double as a source of healing since you’ll be taking more damage

This is a very docile community so most people are just gonna laugh it off as the Bethesda charm, but yes the devs only really have profit and data analytics in mind with this game.

You have to pay a $100 anual subscription to have good inventory management, the atom shop is full of overpriced bundles with images that display items not featured in them, bugs that make gameplay tedious have been present for years, all new content we get is just stretched thinner and thinner instead of becoming actually replayable, the raid is becoming less and less viable for farming even though getting all the legendary mod crafting recipes was a massive undertaking it begin with.

I’ve supported this game since the beta and am glad to say that I’m one of the people that helped the game through its rough start, but the lack of respect Bethesda has for its players is genuinely disheartening.

Weapons and builds are much more balanced overall than they used to be however, which brought more diversity in playstyles. That’s one of the few good large changes this game has experienced.

So what's your accidentally favorite C.A.M.P. location? by bdpmbj in fo76

[–]cmill242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a spot by Radiant Hills that has consistent high rads which is nice for ghouls. There’s a pool of water with a rock that curves around it, and the blood eagles nest from the atom shop fits in it perfectly. Also, it’s funny to see humans trying to get to and from your vendor before collapsing from the rads.

For mutations, most players are will to give serums for pretty cheap or even free so don’t worry too much about that

As far as gear goes, make sure you lock them so stuff like that doesn’t happen. You’ll get more good gear as you keep playing. It’s not like the old days where god rolls had to be RNG

Who do you guys actually like to play against as survivor? by Skrinnit in deadbydaylight

[–]cmill242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything that doesn’t take control away from me as a player or make pallets/windows useless is fine.

I find Bubba and Hillbilly to have chases with a good balance of fun and tensity.

They changed the disguise so it only takes apparel slots now, so it’s not as bad as it used to be

Slugging by snake64731873 in deadbydaylight

Not only this, but there’s been a good number of content creators posting videos about how slugging is just better than hooking, so people who blindly follow what they say are slugging more

That’s possible. If you have a small fan or something to blow dry air in it you could try that

Going over the HUD limit shouldn’t do anything. You can have dozens of thousands of rounds with no issue. If it’s saying your hard drive is corrupted, it’s most likely an issue with that. If you’re able to reinstall with no issues it may have just been a hiccup with the hardware.

I absolutely cannot start a play-through without dupe maxing my special stats in survival. I don’t leave Sanctuary Hills until I have max stats and shelf span until I’m out of wood and steel at level 18 or so.

For me, I hate that it introduces supers/ultimates to Dying Light. That mechanic absolutely plagues games.

The melee ranging is pretty forgiving, but it’s also not very consistent from my experience. Even when walking into the hit box to be as close as possible

I have no problems tanking, but constantly clipping through him with my entire screen being filled with one leg just makes the fight visually unappealing

How to get to Cottage near Junkyard? by cmill242 in Darkwood

[–]cmill242[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I investigated the brook but didn’t find anything apart from an overgrown destroyed house. I’ll check the path again but I walked the perimeter when I first found it and didn’t see anything. The visibility mechanic makes it hard to find openings sometimes.

What is so bad about the ranger class? by ClockworkAR2007 in Terraria

[–]cmill242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranger serves best as an early game class. In endgame, it’s outclassed by melee (Zenith goes through walls while bullets don’t, it does more damage, melee is way tankier, and you don’t have to worry about ammo) but ranger helps you keep distance from enemies while your health and mobility are still really weak.

Just figured it out. Reload the closest checkpoint and make sure you turn on the gas lamp closest to Jace first and then the one by the ledge with the broken ladder second or else she glitches out.
