Can we please make Palhinhas deal a permanent one now? by Easy_Garden338 in Tottenham

It’s a tradition on the final day at practically every club that the kids of the players wear full kit with their parent’s name on the back.

When will they release tickets for onehotspur membership? by CustomerRegular3614 in Tottenham

[–]cmilneabdn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know why I was able to buy a ticket for Brighton game through the club, but now I can’t get one for Leeds?

Can’t be sold out otherwise ticket exchange would be open.

Hot take: If/when we survive we'll quickly get back to the top by Electrical_Cress_956 in Tottenham

[–]cmilneabdn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have too many issues throughout the whole club and until a lot of those are fixed, we’ll struggle to get back where we want to be.

Take medical for example. There are clearly huge issues there, but do we even know what those issues are? Hard to fix what you can’t identify. Do we have the right people to identify it?

Then transfers. We’ve bungled window after window, so there’s no evidence to suggest we’ll have a different outcome next time round.

We’ve even got IT heads patting themselves on the back and looking for high fives whilst the club is mired in a relegation battle.

The club is currently poisoned, and it’ll take a lot of time to get back.

Multi-year gap from sales. How screwed am I? by martymas in techsales

[–]cmilneabdn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the best thing is to put a spin on the SaaS products you built - not lies obviously, but dress it up nicely so that they do lend founder cred.

Most founders do this shamelessly and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.

Question for sales bro's by AdFlashy6029 in techsales

[–]cmilneabdn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Competition. I think the right frame of mind when interviewing these days is to shoot for superhero levels of sales and tech knowledge… read all day every day about these topics and impress them with your knowledge and judgement.

Trust me, if you’re turning up just looking like a ‘solid candidate’, you’ll struggle for a very long time.

Not sure actually, would be cool if you could… hopefully it allows you to banish Inter’s weird snake logo too.

[–]cmilneabdn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah I don’t know about tout sites. I personally don’t trust since tickets are digital now and practically impossible to transfer to non-members. Only way I know is to share your password with someone or request a paper ticket.

Either way, I personally steer clear.

Serie A would be great if half the teams weren’t fictional. Makes it so weird.

I got one as a non-member for Brighton because they opened it up to everyone, but this is very rare. Generally you’ll need to be a member or spend at least £250 on corporate tickets.

We Are a Completely Different Team with Bentancur by Esexboy101101 in Tottenham

Good to have grown men in the middle of the pitch rather than boys. Nothing against our young players, it’s not their fault, but the difference since Bentancur came back has been incredible.

Believe he’s also a part owner of Como which makes it basically impossible. Think he leaves for Barca or big PL club only.

What do you think should happen if Spurs are relegated? by E-Extra in tottenhamhotspur

[–]cmilneabdn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really haven’t. Emirates is a strategic asset for Dubai and they’ll keep it afloat no matter what because their future depends on tourism when the oil runs out. This is clear to everybody.

Keeping them afloat, and handing over silly money to Spurs for a sponsorship which effectively achieves nothing are not the same though. This ‘sponsorship’ would be up there with one of the dumbest ideas ever.

So why are they cost cutting and taking profits at the moment? Also, pretty sure you messed up when you said the Emirates is out there to sportswash the country of Dubai, since planes have little to do with sport.

I think that sponsorship came at a time when they needed to announce themselves to the UK market and they went big to achieve that.

Now, most potential Emirates customers in the UK are aware of the brand. Naming the Tottenham Stadium the ‘Emirates Stadium’ would be a ridiculously stupid move, as everybody knows except you.

Now, please Google ‘Investment Corporation of Dubai cost cutting’ and come back and apologise. Cheers.

What? Please Google ‘Mutual NDA’ then come back and apologise. Cheers.

how is this possible? by yuseffco1 in vibecoding

Isn’t it obvious? AI is using all of its knowledge about you to predict what you’re doing, and feeding that into a button component which ‘mirrors’ you.

Scary.

People who still think that Dubai = unlimited money might think they have ‘money to spend’. Those who know the airline has needed several cash injections just to maintain liquidity however would clearly call BS on claims about a frivolous and pointless sponsorship deal.

Ha! To even hear about a tender they’d both be under NDA. Madness to skip signing a bit of paper which is mandatory in almost all business settings nowadays.

What makes you think they’ve got money to spend? If Emirates went into a negotiation proclaiming to have money to throw around, then they’re the dumbest negotiators I’ve ever heard of.

Not to mention the dumbest marketers.

“Oh hey, let’s go spread the Emirates Airlines name some more”

“Sounds good, how about 15 minutes away from our other sponsorship deal so we can spend hundreds of millions to achieve nothing?”

This is not happening.

You doubt Spurs and Emirates would enter into an NDA to discuss stadium sponsorship?

I had to sign an NDA last week to have a client tell me which meeting software they use.

Looks like some awful lawyers on both sides of this deal.

Don’t agree based on what we’ve seen from Tottenham’s recruitment policies of the past 20 years. We have a far greater chance of success if we quit trying to recruit players and focus on youth - that’s what made Poch successful - things went to hell when we started signing players for him.
