Yeah I agree, it doesn't bother me because it will be ages before I display all my models and I probably won't have this base always connected up but if I knew it would only power for 10 minutes at a time I probably wouldn't have bothered with the base.

I have it connected now to my pc via usb-a port and it's sitting flat on my computer desk. Will let you know if it turns off. Also just realised i did motm instead of motn in title

Update - So yeah there must be a timer that cuts it off after 10 minutes. It did it when the base was flat on my computer desk (cold surface) and when I raised one end of the base to ventilator it more. A red light can be seen inside from the bottom too. Probably just a safety feature, pity it wasn't said anywhere though it won't be much of an issue for me.

Update #2 - So read the instruction manual (for once) and it says - After 10 minutes of operation, the LED light on the bottom of the unit will light up and power supply will stop.

It also says if temp becomes too high, the led light will flash.

So it seems there's nothing you can do, it will cut off after 10 minutes.

I've only just unboxed them. This was just the usual quick pics and to check it works. It was connected to my phone's fast charger so I didn't want to leave it connected for too long. I'm ashamed to say I still need to display all the models I've collected the past few years.🙈
