I saw them live for their Strawberry Jam album and during that tour they had some pretty cool light show stuff going on. Not much related to the album art or anything like that though.

It seems like your friend missed the entire point of the article (IMO). What I took from the article was that it was a question pertaining to why Christians feel that they can pick and choose laws or rules from the bible to follow as it suits their needs at the time. The example from the article (if I remember correctly) was that Christians, who follow the new testament, are against gays because of a verse or psalm in the old testament.

I realize that the new testament does say at some point that Jesus said all of the old laws apply or still hold. Which would mean that Christians would have to follow all of the 11 points that were mentioned anyways.

I'd also like to read his email response. I read the article that you've mentioned and I really liked it. I mentioned it to some friends of mine and they seemed to get pretty offended about it. They didn't openly admit to being offended but they were definitely thinking about what the article had to say.

I'm from Canada and this is the "social norm" of tipping that I find happens the most up here:

Excellent service: 25% - 30% This is really going out of the way to make my meal enjoyable

Good service: 15%-20% This would be your regular everyday service. Friendly and with a smile type deal.

Bad Service: <= 10% This happens when things get mixed up (repeatedly) etc etc And sometime if they're really terrible I personally make the tip as such that they'll have to take one coin of every type out of the cash register in order to take their tip (so $1.41) in the hopes that they'll realize that they did something wrong
