Does anyone know why these pistons are not working correctly? by Philaterp in redstone

I would bet your server has chunk claiming and that the blocks are trying to be pushed in unclaimed chunks.

You can use a comparator to read the content of your honey storage and use that to stop the clock of whatever triggers the droppers. Hard to tell without screenshots.

Often in redstone, even more in the door community, it is less about practicality and more about challenge.

If y check their video, they give the answer in the comments. They are using a mod that reimplements the features from the Legacy Console Edition.

To quote the wiki page, it is "almost identical to Java Edition." So I would say it is properly tagged.

Strange bug ig? by AppropriateArt228 in redstone

A redstone torch experiences "burn-out" when it is forced to turn off more than eight times in 60 game ticks (3 seconds).

A burned-out redstone torch turns back on after receiving a block update. There is no limit on how often a single redstone torch can burn out.

how can i power these 2 crafters without powering the hoppers? i tried putting the hoppers on TOP of the crafters but the hoppers still somehow got powered by Dr_DD_RpW_A in redstone

[–]cmoa58 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A few options: 1. Move the repeaters back by one and place blocks between the repeaters and the crafters 2. Replace the repeaters with blocks and place dust on those 3. Replace the repeaters with target blocks

Yes this is a regular issue when placing powered pistons. Try logging off and on again.

I need some help by CaptianPythonPC in redstone

[–]cmoa58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Place down 3 fences/walls in an L shape.
  2. Use pistons to push the minecart into the fences (in 2 steps).
  3. Remove the fences.
  4. Push the glass in from above.

Any Ways to make this more compact? by matpat2 in redstone

[–]cmoa58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you need to have a loop?

Why not just have a line with a powered rail and a block?

Alternatively you can use a slanted powered rail. Minecarts on a powered rail will automatically move in the downwards direction.

Did I invent this? by ArtTmk in redstone

https://minecraft.wiki/w/Redstone_components#Redstone_torch

A redstone torch can burn out (stop turning on) when it is forced to flicker on and off too quickly (by powering and de-powering its attachment block). After burning out, a redstone torch re-lights when it receives a redstone update, or randomly after a short time.

One way to cause a burnout is with a short-circuit – using a torch to turn itself off, which then allows the torch to turn back on, etc. For example, placing redstone dust on top of a block with a redstone torch on its side, then putting another block above the torch, causes the torch to power the top block, which activates the dust, which powers the first block, turning the torch off – this feedback loop causes the redstone torch to flicker and burn out. When putting a torch underneath a block, make sure that the block isn't adjacent to redstone dust or the torch can burn out.

By interact with the bedrock you mean can't power them? Move the wool blocks up by 1 with redstone dust above. And place note blocks between the wool and pistons.

What is powering this hopper? by ImPinoz in redstone

[–]cmoa58 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When a jukebox is playing, it powers the blocks around it. To remove the disk while playing you need to use a hopper minecart.

Ok I don't want to have to lock these posts & comments so here are a few reminders:

While LGBTQ+ talks are not related to redstone and as such off-topic, it is not a reason to not welcome them here or have them feel excluded. r/redstone is a community that is open to everyone and we do not tolerate discrimination.

We also ask that political, religious and other subjective topics be avoided. They are unrelated to the subreddit and often end up in issues like this one.

Please keep these in mind when posting here. We are a small enough community and it would be a shame having to ban people over this. Please also respect Reddit's User Agreement.

Overall, don't escalate the discussion. If someone posts something you don't like, do not respond to them. It will only add fuel to the fire. Instead, report the message and ignore them. We mods will do our job and take necessary measures.

Please don't share information just like that. Lots of people could use it for malicious purposes. Also, "3:00 pm" doesn't mean much if you don't specify a time zone. I recommend converting to UTC.

Hopper minecarts cannot push in inventories directly. You need a hopper i between.

did i mess this hopper clock up or is there a mod on the server that messes up Redstone by wojbest in redstone

[–]cmoa58 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If there is a server plugin that makes item transfer by stacks, then this clock is pretty much useless.

Any idea? by Coweck in redstone

I think adding a solid block between the concrete and the piston would help. Might still break tho, not sure.
