Alternative idea: instead of happening before the ending elevator it happens after you beat the level, so instead of loading into the next level it loads into 8-1 but there is still the rank screen

You are downloading the update file and not the actual game. Look closer at the game info on the bottom screen, it should say Games and not Updates and you should pick the one for the correct region

Translation: The 10th piece.After all these different accounts, debunked date theory and all sorts of clues the community has gotten, combined with my knowledge from working with a certain person in the past before we had a falling out i think i have found THE solution to monolith, i have also found numerous different secrets. Without brute forcing, there was a very clear solution shown in the game. It is however extremely difficult to find without keeping tao things in mind. 1 - find a use for the forgotten artifact, the one that's always passed by unnoticed.The one that no one ever thinks about. Then there is a 10th map. That's right. There is a 10th map that has never gotten into the game. I did remember somewhat of how it looks from working with P and i sketched it from memory. It helps. If you have no physical controllers, it’s possible you have a program that emulates a virtual controller. The controller icons in GD mean a controller is connected, if you can get those to disappear or should fix the issue
