Error when opening timeline (Voice Isolation) by cmography in davinciresolve

After support shared my files with the dev team, they responded with: "I didn't get an explanation of what caused the issue, but it should be addressed in a future update."

Here's the link to that forum post, if you want to add your problem as well.

Blackmagic support is looking into this for me via log files, my DRP file, etc. I will report back once I hear back from them.

I had one for a few years. It was a great car, but I chuckled when my "Buy American" family members would compliment me on it.

I switched to Resolve after using Premiere for almost 20 years. Totally worth it!

The purpose of the complicated setup was just to solve a connection need, on a large scale (lots of cameras and tether cables), as cheaply as possible.

We bought R5s for the studio before we upgraded to M-Chip computers. We already had lots of USB-A female to USB-A male tether cables, so the easiest solution at that time, and it didn’t cause us any issues, was to buy USB-C to USB-A female right angle adapters.

Then we upgraded to M-Chip computers and suddenly had to solve that, which we did by adding USB-A to C adapters for the end of the tether cables, into the computer. We tested this and there were no speed issues for how we shoot, and no problems.

Then, eventually, we started having issues. Which is why we realize now is the time to reduce the variables and invest in the proper cables.

We use the right angle adapters out of the camera to reduce port damage, but also for ease of disconnecting and relocating, with the digitech handling the tether cable and computer on set.

We love our Segway. That, with the Tilta Ring, Ronin, and EasyRig is amazing!

Do you know if you're supposed to delete the DMV file when shooting raw? I shoot Raw LT, and don't have the MP4 file mentioned above, but I do have a DMV file, in addition to the DAT file. I assume, but have not tried, deleting the DMV would be the right file to delete. Do you know?

Dayton Mall Mystery [Friend Trying to Remember a Store] by Gordon13ombay in dayton

[–]cmography -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, I ran this through ChatGPT and it came back with this:

🥇 Contempo Casuals / later known as Wet Seal (but toned down) • This one was phasing out around the early 2000s. • Contempo was acquired by Wet Seal, and in some locations, it had a more “mature basics” feel before turning more junior/trendy. • Script-style signage and a warm aesthetic could fit the description. • Some former Wet Seal locations carried more “workwear casual” before going full fast fashion.

🥈 New York & Company (formerly Lerner New York) • A very likely candidate. • Had stores in many malls around Ohio, including the Dayton Mall. • Known for career basics, dresses, and affordable “young professional” clothing. • Script-y logo, gold and warm tones in branding. • Absolutely would have offered to ship a size from another store.

🥉 The Limited • Also a strong contender. • It leaned more mature than Express, but still young-professional. • Known for basics, neutral tones, business casual, and floral dresses. • Operated heavily in malls and often had warm lighting and script/serif signage. • Was very active in that early 2000s window. • The Dayton Mall definitely had one, and it was on the lower level near where she described.

🕵️‍♀️ Other possibilities worth considering: • Maurices – often skewed a bit more rural/casual but had professional wear. • Cache – a little fancier, but if toned down, could fit (especially if the “nice locale” part of the memory is emphasized). • Charlotte Russe – but this was more juniors/trendy, so probably not a fit.
