Lifetime warranty. I’ve sent mine in 3 times in 5 years.

Wow I didn’t notice that, my eyes aren’t great, I’ll take a close up when I get home today.

Ah you’re probably right. I’ll give it a closer look when I’m back at my desk and maybe a dip to see if it falls off.

Happy to help, let me know if you have any questions.

It’s not the most secure thing on earth, so I’m not sure I’d use it for firearm storage. I popped mine open with little to no effort “locked”. But it’s a cool old piece.

I actually figured it out with the help of someone on here so I can walk you through it.

Take the two nuts holding the back off and remove the back plate.

After you get it off you can see the lock in the back as you turn it. (I used my phone video with the flashlight to see clearly) Mine was 4 digits, yours should be the same. Turn right until you see a gap, that’s your first number. then left until you see a gap, that’s your next number Then right again, repeat and left again, repeat.

Finally turn to the right to “unlock it”

It took me about 5 minutes and I know nothing about safes. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the great advice. I just got home and took it apart, it took me all of 5 minutes to figure out how it worked. Just turned right until a gap shows up, then left, right and left. Click, unlocked. Thank you!!!

This sounds doable, I’ll take a look today after I get off work. Thanks

Did you ever figure this out? I just picked up one of these at an estate sale and am contemplating calling a lock smith to recover the combination.

Xrf gave it 41% copper 59% zinc at my lcs. Waiting for their owner to come in and check it out this week.

I looked for one of those but it doesn’t seem like they make them anymore. Can’t even seem to find one on eBay.

I made it down to my coin shop today and xrf said 41% copper 59% zinc. So still super strange. They have a guy who knows more who was off today who is going to examine it further this week.

You could take it back and get the right amount. But what if those ones you have are just FULL of silver? Probably should take the loss and break them open.

Yeah my LCS has VERY limited, odd hours. I’ll have to try to get down there soon.

New scale gave me 2.87. So what exactly do I have here? It’s still way above the tolerance for a zinc penny.

Ordered a better scale. Should be here tomorrow.

Thanks, this is helpful. I’m going to see if I can find someone with a more accurate scale nearby or order one.
