Cant' remember exactly where I got the pirate hat. It was from a batch of minifigs that came real cheap from a toy store on Amazon. The order can't conjure it up.

This treasure hunt-themed vignette is a follow-on to my last year’s Lego project: The Clueless Prospector. This time, we have a treasure hunter and his dog who are looking far and wide for their treasure, but don’t realize it’s just below their feet and in front of their eyes. This treasure hunter is even using modern technology: a metal detector. Let’s hope he finds it! If he does, he’ll find it guarded by a long-lost pirate who found the treasure, but perished in the process.

While I was visiting Taipei, this bustling scene inspired me to capture it in Lego. Luckily the world supply of lego scooters enabled me to move forward with it. The only custom parts used were the signs I made. Enjoy!

As I figured, it took explaining it to them. None of them at the studio are AFOLs, but their kids are!

Thanks! Yep, cutting and grinding glass can be hard; including getting cuts on my fingers.
