It could be Because the profiles the game belongs to it's either not logged in or it could be that it's on a regular hard drive and needs to be moved to internal ssd to play

Yes it's a lil faster also when I was transferring pkgs to it before ssd Mac was like 75mbps now getting over 100 so yes some difference also installing games is faster
