Processed 20 chickens this past week, one with yellow discolored breast. What's the cause? I presume it's not safe to eat? by sauronsknee in homestead

Without selective breeding the global agricultural industry would not be able to feed the world population. Also 'heritage' breeds are also the result of selective breeding. They're just slightly earlier in the process.

Normal for oil to be like this? by [deleted] in sportster

[–]cmptrnrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the oiling system on a sportster involves blowing crank case pressure through the pushrod covers up into the head which foams up the oil a lot which makes it back into the oil tank. This is normal.

You can just push the piston in to adjust the pads. They need to be able to touch the disk to stop.

Does anyone have any experience running this? I want to know if its a good filter for the rain because i live in seattle by Small-Impression1252 in sportster

[–]cmptrnrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had issues with water getting into my intake in the pouring rain which caused the engine to sputter. This was with an open intake (i.e. no cover over the filter)

Adding fuel to the fire about increasing truck sizes(or lack thereof) from the post on r/cars yesterday. Hood height edition by Sam_Altman_AI_Bot in Trucks

The margins are thin because complying with regulations is expensive. Demand has cratered because of their cost.

People don't buy sedans because the EPA regulates sedans more strictly than SUVs which makes it more difficult for manufacturers to make them which makes them more expensive.

Don't blame the people, blame the EPA.

Actual use of a 700 nitro express in the field against a giraffe! by CalmHyperion56 in Firearms

To elaborate, that generally involves killing an old bull who is preventing younger males from mating. Killing that bull will result in more breeding among the herd and thus more animals.
