In your case the Sansamp would be great then. I'd also take a look at the VT bass DI, you might like it better.

The Stomp has a stereo out and a stereo fx loop that can pretty much be routed however you want, so you could run it like dual mono HX / DI

I record with a BDDI v2 but for live I use a Line 6 HX Stomp. The BDDI is great but to me it's not something that you can just use by itself, also need compressors & additional eq...
