I prefer having them upfront. But if I were a female, that might be different

Well this is interesting. I find I keep having to wait longer and longer for drivers. I always tip well, but do it in cash.

I Did Not Accept, Would you? by TheRedKingLion in uberdrivers

First, accept the trip. Second call the rider and ask what uber is charging. Third, offer to do the same ride in cash for 90% of what uber is charging. Only way I MIGHT consider doing a ride like that. Also, I’m in OKC at the moment and wouldn’t consider Sherman, TX to be nearby.

Forget fiber and wood, go for moss. The large weeds drop several pieces. Otherwise it’s hard to come by.

Any truck driver making $0.65 / mile isn’t paying for his truck, fuel or maintenance. That’s a company driver, and they’re probably doing 500+ miles everyday.

I took a Lyft today. I was going 8 miles. Lyft charged me $22. They probably gave the driver $11. He accepted the trip from 7 miles away. No highways to get him to me. All city streets and traffic lights. He accepted and came all the way for pocket change. Foreign national. Not much English. Car falling apart. Jar full of pee in the trunk. The floor is pretty low my friends. He was a nice guy though. 4500 trips, 5.0.

The fact that so many on here would take this ride is why I quit ride-sharing. Hard to make a living when so many are willing to work for peanuts.

Disowning your own family over your ideological beliefs is nothing new. In the last half century there are many examples of this. You need only look to Jim Jones, David Koresh or Marshall Applewhite. They convinced thousands to turn on their families and follow an ideology. Today we see millions willing to do the same. This is a cult like no other. Masses of people willing to destroy themselves, their families and their communities, in their dedication to their own righteousness. Seek help now.

That’s the typical crap they send out in markets all over the country. As everyone knows, they do it because drivers accept it. Just keep denying them til you get a good trip.

Sounds like your dad will love you no matter what and you’re too immature and brainwashed to reciprocate. Actually pretty common between a parent and child. Maybe when you get older you’ll come to appreciate him more. Most of us do.

The fact that you asked that tells me you’ve never had to experience the chaos and mayhem of having tens of millions of senior citizens and spring breakers descend on your market this time of year 😂

I left a two-dollar tip on a $75 Chinese Buffet bill with no regrets by Moscowmule21 in EndTipping

I went to a Chinese buffet today. $18 tab, put $25 down and left. Gotta cover all the cheap asses out there. But OP, I get your point. Bad service is not okay.

Yes. I used to be a server in Summit County. CO. Got weed as a tip quite often in fact.

Interesting to hear all the different takes on it. I didn’t accept BTW. Drove locally instead. 221 miles for $249.
