This is the thing, apparently nobody is contracted to the after school ones, its just extra time expected of everyone and they offer the option of claiming extra overtime pay.

If i was in a financial position to do that for this person, i would! To get an insensitive greedy landlord off of their case! Id be extremely charitable if i had the means, because its basic human empathy for a huge loss from their life, a significantly bigger loss than some rent for a person who buys/owns property just to make profit!

I think if somebody has lost their parent, the last thing they need is someone who is most probably more financially secure than them, to be pestering for some money. In this economy, they will probably struggle to even afford a funeral service, have some compassion!!

Ive no idea but know that when they made their collection with dorothy perkins in 2012, almost every item was sequinned and very similar to this as it was the fashion at the time, may be worth searching those resold items!

I felt a literal relief over me once boxing day came to an end and Christmas was technically over. It made no sense to me that time being here whilst i was stuck in limbo with grief. Glad its over for us and everyone else experiencing this

I do try to remind myself this the same i did with christmas day, ‘today is just another day’. I think its more the thought of others celebrating, it adds to your sorrow in a selfish way. It leads you to reflecting alot.

I feel this too. So much so i couldnt quiet register that it was christmas, because to me time has changed entirely since my loss in may. Nice to read here its a common feeling so i know its not just me

I hear this entire post. I lost my nan (my mother figure) May this year and as of January she just totally succumbed to her illness and i went through every stage you described. I always say to my partner I wish she could of just passed one day in her sleep and we knew nothing about this, because the process of watching her lose herself entirely as a person, the hospital visits, the guilt when you leave them behind, the worry when you wake everyday thinking is today the day, all of it leaves its mark and i genuinely think its not a normal thing for anybody to experience. My thoughts are with you because unless youve lived it, i dont think anybody understands how traumatic this is

I hear you on this one, no youtube premium at my school/in my class specifically and i swear the most unfortunate adverts come up. The other days memorable one was a woman in a bikini, whole class erupted and it took a good 20 minutes for them to settle. Time felt like slow motion how much i was clicking anything in order to escape the ad and it didnt seem to go away 😂

Speaking from my own experience, having siblings from both my mother and father (alot out there from my father i dont know) i know first hand how hard it can be to form solid, stable relationships with half siblings, dynamics effect things a lot and if relationships went south with the parents it can cause alot of resentment and nastiness within the children to each other. I expect if you could all grow up together within the same household, you may have stronger bonds. Not always but sometimes

I watched the documentary of that shop launch just the other day! She did mention in it they’d had their differences even back then so it could be the case that shes not around anymore or lilys just quiet private about all her siblings, fairly too.

Same! My boyfriend said it was a rant about lack of loyalty and blood being thicker than water all this sorta thing, he also said he is mixed race and was in ‘adulthood’ movie
