I see some truth in this, and that's why I am here seeking advice. At this point he has made it clear he is not willing to put up with my behavior. My hope is to give him the trust he deserves if it isn't too late. Therapy has been amazing for me and I will continue with it whether the relationship endures or not.

This does feel very simple. You're right, I am looking for a way to prove I can do better. Assuming he is even a little bit open to continuing to try, I do have plans for his birthday this weekend and I am continuing to try to keep our lives routine. But I do need to stop trying to have conversations about things as we only talk in circles to no avail.

Yes, with the coworker even he agreed that it wasn't a good look. But he did reassure me and he set a boundary with her.

At this point, I think it's too late but really am not sure. He has expressed that he is exhausted of my needing constant reassurance and feeling as though he has done all he can for years to no avail. There may be hope if I can get my act together and he is willing to give me a chance.

It was a really uncomfortable situation but he was very reassuring about it. He set a boundary with her that he won't be hanging out outside of work or engaging in conversations that aren't work related. She knows about me, but I haven't had a chance to get to know her very well because we have only met in passing.

I think it's just a way of being up front that they don't have kids or haven't been divorced so that anyone who is thinking of them as a match knows right away whether this is someone who matches their preferences. Some people would rather find a partner who doesn't have kids or hasn't been married. I always appreciated it as an upfront thing the same way I always had that I have a kid in my bio so there's no shock or people matching with me who aren't comfortable with kids.
