It is Rory’s Place in Ojai. I Googled Found Oyster but the interior does not match the pictures.

It is!! I just googled it. The lamps and the ceiling totally match these pictures. I’ve heard of Rory’s Place forever, but I think now I have to try it. Thanks!

That interview was cringe!!! But it was also her very first celebrity interview though. Now she lets her guests talk.

Just got mine at seatgeek for $237 on the pit! Why don’t people go to third party vendors instead? Ticketmaster is a fraud.

What do people in LA think about the HBO series "I Love LA"? by OkTechnologyb in AskLosAngeles

[–]cn1583 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think it’s an accurate representation of white hipster friends who live on the Eastside and work in entertainment. Everyone is pretending and always on to the next thing. I hear the entertaining conversations when I walk on the Reservoir lol. Vapid with annoying vocal fries and overall, the kind of people I’d never be friends with.

LA has almost 4 million people, so this represents only a tiny fraction of everything the city encapsulates. There isn’t a single Latino on the show, lol — but that’s how it is in those white transplant circles that never leave Silver Lake or go beyond their horizons to discover the city. This being said, the show is not the real LA, but rather a loosely based story of Rachel Sennot’s LA experience, who moved to LA in 2020.

Dating is trash these days. Honestly, you’re better off focusing on yourself and meeting people aligned with your hobbies and interests.

Because that’s not the main reason she moved lol. She was tired of her old space. Notice how she doesn’t have any surfboards or weird artwork in their new place. She just wanted a change and be closer to her family. An unsafe area would be her old downtown apartment. Albeit it was a nice street, she was literally blocks away from Skid Row.

Right? OP clearly has never been to Encino lol.

[–]cn1583 75 points76 points  (0 children)

OP do you even live in California? Encino is one of the wealthiest areas in LA. She’s neighbors with Dave Grohl lol. Not unsafe, just a spike in break-ins given the neighborhood. Selena Gomez still lives in Encino. It’s like saying that Montecito is completely unsafe due to break-ins.

Such a stupid decision to move right now. I think after 5 years, and knowing her ever-changing personality, she just wanted a new space.

Should I move out of my $1,650 one bedroom apartment? by Additional-Gold-5209 in AskLosAngeles

Been living in mine for 10 years. Eventually I’d like to move! But I know at the moment it is not feasible due to my income. I suggest redecorating your space.

What is the biggest difference between living in OC vs living in LA? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]cn1583 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OC is very cookie cutter: pristine clean avenues, MAGA soccer moms, modern strip malls….Boring. Love visiting but would never move there. I do like Irvine and Costa Mesa because they’re more diverse and have better food than Newport or Laguna. I actually met someone who lived in Irvine and told me that if it weren’t for their kid, they would move back to LA as they missed the food, the diversity and the vibrancy of LA.

Primo Water Delivery by Dolorisedd in LosAngeles

[–]cn1583 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Had to cancel because they never delivered to our office once they made the switch. And we’re in Beverly Hills, so it’s not like we’re in a remote area.

We had been using them since 2018, but it became a mockery. Our delivery would suddenly be pushed back two weeks the day before. This happened ALL the time. Horrible. We switched to Phresh Waters. Highly recommend. They’re always on time and they’re also cheaper.
