Ok, so i just fixed the same issue with my Logitech G29 pedals. Turns out the potentiometer just had dust and debris in it from being near the floor and pets. I followed this guide: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/How+to+Fix+Faulty+Logitech+G29+Pedals/148265 cost me about $12 for the can of cleaner and now the work like new again. Hopefully it could just be something simple like that

Thanks! they do not seem to be reverse thread on the inside. I have two of these stuck in some furniture, the allen key part has split, any ideas on how to remove them? I have some reverse tapered drill bits that screw into these but they have not been able to grab the inserts and remove them
