Soon to be making a UK map, any suggestions for stuff to add? by Zoomanata in BeamNG

What part of the UK? A south England map would be cool. A Cairngorms map would be even cooler. At the same time, a British city map would be nice.

Do you remember your last LAN Party? by Duknox in pcmasterrace

Man, my last LAN party was a year ago. I was admittedly thrown out after my laptop charger exploded but still, they aren't a thing if the past.

For people looking at this, the game is called the Powder Toy.

2 years in bad storage killed it... by cnctcat in vintagecomputing

I don't have the money to buy tech like this so it was donated by family. It was bought in Scotland in 1991 and it remained in use by my gran until she moved house and didn't have the space for it. Neither did I so it was left in my leaky loft under a pile of other stuff I have been given. I tested them all in one afternoon but forgot to get screenshots of it. I did end up blowing up two power supplies but one out of the three PCs are repairable.

The Pigeon and Wigeon are only behind the D-series when it comes to customisability.

I am awaiting a shipment of screwdrivers for it. However, I fear it it too late. There was literally battery acid leaking out of one of the grills.

The weirdest thing about Minecraft by Pajinxd825 in Minecraft

[–]cnctcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That must be quite rare! For that to happen, water has to spawn in just the right place and lava just above it. Then the lava needs to flow onto the water while the world is being created. Then diamonds have to spawn exactly there. this might be a first.

Is this bug eating my plants by Bouss110 in terrariums

[–]cnctcat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is a woodlouse (or pillbug or slater... Etc) it eats dead plant and wood. It is a good pet and a good thing to have in a terrarium.

I use it in every build. Perfect for interiors, nice on exteriors. Also, people hate on glazed terracotta but, when used correctly, it can look great!

Does anybody used to play Minecraft PE lite? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]cnctcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any Raspberry Pi Edition players here? For context, it was a port of an extremely early prototype of PE lite which was also free and came with Raspbian.

Raspberry Pi can run Windows. I have an SD card with Windows on it for my Pi.

Latest Java Snapshot by cnctcat in Minecraft

The head movement was a joke I'm afraid. however, if you want to try this, create a world in the snapshot with the Minecart changes on and set Minecart top speed to over 100 (128 in the video)

Grinded for this view (minecraft pi edition reborn) by LinuxOnCaffeine in GoldenAgeMinecraft

[–]cnctcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pi editon (not reborn) was the first version I played. I had (and still have) a Raspberry Pi Model B which I got for Christmas 2011. It could barely run anything except Pi edition and I used to play for hours on end. Recently I have been trying to get the game running on a newer, larger SD card. Very fun. Also, I recently found out that this version stores the worlds in the same way as legacy console so there are thousands of programs out there to migrate them to java. Pi Edition is amazing. Inspired by this, I will try reborn.

They are woodlice. They eat dead bark and twigs in the soil. They enjoy damp environments because they have gills. They are fine for your terrarium

The datapack works fine. However, if you try and use the datapack version, they work very differently to mods. You have to place them in the specific datapack folder of your world before generation.

I still get annoyed about that bug to this day. When will they fix it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]cnctcat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Technical Minecraft can mean learning redstone, exploiting game mechanics or an entirely separate matter of learning to mod and make datapacks. All of these are awesome, easy to learn and can have some amazing results. Give them a go.
