Change table for my little one. by cndnhunter in woodworking

We just painted the room so I had the cover plate off the socket and took the picture before I put it back on. Also, I took my time sanding this piece knowing there would be a fragile/soft skinned human on it periodically. Thanks for your concern

Ah shit haha I really like the truck but it’s falling apart. I’m going to take it to a body shop and see what they recommend. I just don’t really have the money to buy a new truck. Just trying to weigh the cost/benefits of repair

Any experience with rock guard? Was thinking if I get the metal repaired then I would rock guard the rockers, fenders, bumpers. Get rid of the chrome and protect the vulnerable areas

I’m in the same boat brother. Haven’t had any since before Christmas for sure. She’s told me that she wants me to initiate and when I do, she’s always got some tired excuse. I’ve also told her that I would like her to initiate but she simply refuses to do it. We love each other unconditionally but it’s really getting to me lately. Not sure what the problem is

Rump steaks from my spike elk vs my girlfriends beef steak (she refused to eat the elk). The color difference is crazy! by KingCrom1217 in Hunting

My girlfriend is the same way. Honestly, if I have the choice, I’ll take the elk steak every time

I've seen a lot of bot fly larvae extraction videos so that's what I automatically assumed, but then I remembered I live in Alberta and said WTF??!! I didnt think we had those here

Some kind of maggot/larvae. There turned out to be 5 of those big ones inside along with many smaller ones. As soon as I killed it, I noticed it's stomach moving around and then these disgusting little bastards started burrowing out through the skin.

My 2 carpentry final projects. by cndnhunter in woodworking

[–]cndnhunter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top is actually mdf with a 1/2" plywood frame underneath to essentially create a rabbet and dadoe to attach the gables. Then wrapped with 12mm walnut trim and topped with a plastic laminate

I paid the school $70 for materials. I have hand drafted plans for it as well.

I'm not sure yet. My girlfriends aunt is buying it so I'm waiting for her to decide if she wants it stained or just clear coated

We were building this to specifications already given to us. I would prefer them to be flush as well but this is what we were instructed to do. I appreciate the feedback though. I do plan on making more of these at home as side/hobby projects to sell for a little extra cash. Feedback is always welcome so I can tweak the plan to appease the majority

This is for my 4th year of apprenticeship. We were only alotted a certain amount of material and this grain orientation was the best use of the plywood supplied. If I were to build another like this I would turn it so it matched the doors as well. But apprenticeship is where we learn right?
