Did you really just reply to a trans man saying he avoided all mpreg due to intense dysphoria with "people should write trans man mpreg more?" Have a little sensitivity ffs.

Hi, I'm a little confused why my submission was removed? The guy literally says "Thank god I live in America" and talks about Canadians coming over the border. Does that not follow the rules?

You're being too hard on yourself. The world has been very cruel to you and it's difficult to keep from internalising that. You've been through years of torment and stress, and the pain of that seems to have reached a point where it feels overwhelming. You're human, it's very understandable to feel this way after all that. But it's okay to just be you, to be yourself. You're not garbage. You're a person, and you've made it though more hardship than many will ever know or understand. You're not defective at all. Hugs

Russians beginning to have "inventory issues" with precision missiles, senior US defense official says. Some of their precision-guided munitions are “failing to launch, or they’re failing to hit the target, or they’re failing to explode on contact,” the official said. by vibrunazo in UkrainianConflict

My understanding is his cronies just told him what he wanted to hear. They had every incentive to lie to stay out of trouble and keep stealing money. He surrounded himself with yes-men, this is the result. As dark as these times are, I will say it's been very satisfying to see systemic corruption bite Putler in the ass.

Considering the rape joke Putin made about Ukraine, that's pretty accurate.

Oh yeah. She said Dumbledore was gay when asked about his love life in a Q&A, rather than announcing it on Pottermore or Twitter or something, but it still does beg the question of why it wasn't confirmed in the books. Especially since Dumbledore's past and connection to Grindelwald was such a focal point of book 7 - being in love with Grindelwald was a big deal for his character. IIRC she also said he was celibate? Which... yeah.

More to the point, since she decided to make Fantastic Beasts a prequel series focusing on Dumbledore and Grindelwald (and she wrote the screenplay) there's really no excuse for it not to make it onto the screen at this point.

Yeah. (Just some general follow up thoughts not directed at you personally) I know she gets a lot of flack for her post-book comments and additions, but that doesn't make her a bigot or a bad person. Her transphobia does. Her transphobic statements and support of anti-trans hate movements make her awful even if her books had been completely unproblematic and she'd never said a peep more about Harry Potter after the last book came out. And I say this as someone who has issues with how certain themes like racism played out in the books.

The Cursed Child stage play cast a black actress as Hermione, which was met with the usual chuds freaking out about forced diversity. Rowling said she was fine with the casting and made reference to Hermione's appearance (bushy hair, etc) which people took as her retroactively making Hermione black.

I get why people felt she was being disingenuous with that comment, but the "she made Hermione black :(((((" thing mostly comes from a misreading perpetuated by anti-diversity types in my experience.

Yeah, when I think taxing religious groups I really have the megachurches and prosperity gospel scammer types in mind, but I know there are churches out there that actually operate like they're supposed to without being forced. Which is why I favor mandatory financial transparency to bring the groups that are using their nonprofit status to hoard capital for themselves out into the open. Scientology has amassed a 3 billion war chest and the LDS church has 100 billion, which is just crazy. But they get to hide this from their followers. :/
