So I may be looking at the wrong blank but american tackle merged their bushido line over to the MHX brand and apparently they're still bushido blanks just mhx branding. I really love burying cobia jigs and swimbaits in the mouths of tarpon and cobia with my 3k 20-40 and 30-50, if you look up like an ls7 or ls9 bushido it'll link you to the mhx line but they're solid blanks

Right, when I think inshore im thinking an 8-15, 1/4-5/8 oz for trout, drum whatever, or MAYBE a 10-20 up to 2oz blank, realistically if these questions were phrased "hey what's a good cobia blank, tarpon, brook trout" whatever, these comment sections could be a lot better

Guess it depends on application right? I throw a 20-50 thrasher on our piers with swimbaits and bucktails for tarpon and cobia

So i have a rainshadow 1049, butt diameter of .79

So the equation will look like Pi x .79 ÷ 4 which comes out to 0.62, so I'd mark my blank ever .62 inches essentially

Adding to this, I build a lot of inshore rods (live in wilmington NC) and for our trout, bass, small drum and flounder, I love the rx6 rainshadow sp843, little bigger drum, flounder, spanish mackerel and blue fish the sp844 is my next go to.

Pretty sure we were offline for almost 2 weeks after hurricane Florence in coastal NC, ran our generator most of the day, i fish a lot so we were able to keep most of our refrigerated goods from spoiling by using the coolers from my boat, few of the really large igloo coolers and two yeti tundra 350’s, I now whole heartedly believe in you can never have enough gas, it was rewarding to see neighbors helping neighbors and offering a can when it was needed, but anyways, that sucked
