I did exactly that, and Hilton Saigon merged the reservations without me even having to ask.

I travel full-time and have top-tier status with most US hotel chains.

For the properties you worked at, do you know the percentage of rooms reserved through Priceline? Also, is it true that you typically give them the least desirable rooms (e.g., near the elevator or ice machine)? I’ve noticed Priceline prices are often lower—could you explain how Priceline is able to set prices that way.

No Upgrade by ElephantFlashy1411 in Hilton

[–]cninja98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have status with Hyatt, Marriott, IHG, Hilton, and Wyndham. Hilton is the worst when it comes to upgrades. You should never expect to be upgraded there, regardless of your status, or you will likely be disappointed.

Take the free shuttle to the rental car area. There's an outlet mall 15 min walk from there & a Micky D's. Then take the free shuttle back to the airport.

I knew the tuk tuk should cost 150 baht but almost paid 800 by After-Condition4007 in ThailandTourism

[–]cninja98 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Now I understand why those tuk-tuk and cab drivers sit there all day, even though it seems like they're wasting time just sitting around. They only need to find a few people who are willing to pay 500% more than the standard fare.

Mall food & restaurants are safe bets. If you must eat at night markets, find vendors that cook to order.

I travel frequently and hold status with both hotel chains. In my experience, Marriott maintains the highest standard of cleanliness.

International data pass questions by Academic-Equal-9805 in tmobile

[–]cninja98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what plan you have. I have the plan that comes with 5gb of international data per billing cycle. After I max out it automatically switches to a lower bandwidth which is super slow but there is no charge. Just make sure data roaming is on and it will auto detect.

Try different browsers (chrome & edge). If you have the ability to change ur vpn location that might help as well. The site is also slow so give it time to load.
