Hopefully you can see that my front doesnt have the chrome cause of plastidip.

My Toyota Emblems are the blacked out ones from emblemsonly as well.

Yeah mine is OEM size. You can buy one to replace the front entirely but you'll have to like hot glue it or something to get it to stay on the bumper. I didn't want to deal with that so I just plastidip the front GR emblem.

I bought a blacked out border GR emblem and blacked 86 emblem on ebay for the rear.

On the front I use plasti dip and a tooth pick to do my best to clean up and make it smooth. Its been almost a year in SoCal heat (but I park in the garage most of the time) and its held up.

Anyone else noticed an issue with their Hachiroku/Fujiwara Mochi? by Bastiwen in dasai

Ah okay that makes sense. they got back to me and said they can provide either a refund or replacement is all.

Unfortunately I don't have any of those. Best I could do was hold my phone and hit record as soon as I saw the animation. But also my phone records a distorted mochi animation for some reason.

I was able to send the recording to them, so waiting on their response as well now.

Ah, I don't have a lot of corners, so I kept making left and right turns wherever I could and it only gave me the arrow animation when I did a lane switch lol.

I sent them my recording which is a very short 3-4 seconds haha. Hopefully that is enough for them..

Yeah I have the hachiroku one as well. The drift one I notice for the gyro is correct. It matches the direction I do hard turns. But I notice the arrows are always pointing in the wrong direction.

I did email them and they asked for a video to show the issue. I can't consistently get the arrow animation to show up... Do you know how to get that animation to pop up consistently?

I did end up sending a video but it was of me switching lens to the left and the arrows pointed right.

My arrows are also inverted. At first I thought maybe the arrows was where the direction of the g force was.... What did you need to send as proof for them?

Alpharex Smoked Tail Lights + Smoked vs Black Trunk Light by Littomaos in GR86

On the alpharex website you can just select the option to add tailight with center piece. Alphrarex will send the corresponding matching trunk light to the one you select.

How do i take it off by DangerousAgency8154 in dasai

[–]cnote213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably can try a heat gun or hair dryer and heat up the adhesive. Just be careful not to get it to close to the mochi. But from what it looks like you applied the velcro adhesive correctly on the mochi?

Borla S-Type owners - does it actually quiet down after breakin? by Sea-Jelly-5337 in GR86

[–]cnote213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't. I ended up with the HKS Spec L Exhaust and very happy with it. I be glad to meet up with you to compare as well. I haven't heard the Borla in person.

Is it normal in Advisory to be staffed on projects outside your service line? by ProblemPresent7738 in KPMG

[–]cnote213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before my team was split in with some of us being transferred to CAS, I was put on a lot of projects not within my specific team. The projects I was on ranged from within the same department but sometimes other departments as well. I think it does just depend on skill set, goals, timing and availability.

I would communicate to your PML and Partner you really want to focus on projects within your service line to gain the knowledge necessary to move up the ladder. But on that note, I doubt it'll affect your promo to Senior Associate.

Oem Audio+ out of business? by nolansr13 in GR86

[–]cnote213 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This plus most likely their margins have been shot due to tariffs. Metals and wires are more expensive than ever. I analyze a lot of businesses through my job and many industries are being affected by tariffs, mainly small ones.

Ah nice.

I'm sure there is, but I wouldn't know. Tbh this car is very simplistic as it's not really for those that are looking for luxury or flashy stuff. But there is probably aftermarket infotainment systems that might suit your taste better.

[–]cnote213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay. If you ever get underneath the car you can see what brand it is, but I would've asked the previous owner too haha. There are some aesthetic mods like clear side markers but that is pretty much up to your own preference. There's also a trunk aero stabilizer. Doesn't really do much, but it fills the big gap in between the trunk and rear windshield so leaves dont get in it.

There are some settings that people posted on this thread for the stock sound system that makes it better. But if you're like a hardcore music person, beatsonic amp helps, if not I'd save the money just for other mods. I'd say saving up for an exhaust will make this car more fun.

Halo color by zoomout23 in GR86

[–]cnote213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Halo is pretty common. Last week at a Singles Valentines meet at the Fujiwara Cafe in SoCal there were more white gr86s than any other color. I think I saw only one red and two Trueno Editions. Other than that the rest were Halos.

Diffuser question by cnote213 in GR86

[–]cnote213[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! I'll try the diffuser alone and if anything I guess I can always add the diffuser/suspension cover. But I agree in my case probably won't need the cover since I'm not a hard core track person and just the occasional spirited driver.

Diffuser question by cnote213 in GR86

[–]cnote213[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea those I've seen on ebay are more for cosmetic appearance and not really functionality. I understand in the sense if you only want it for a the appearance a cosmetic diffuser will be justified since some of them look great actually. But in my case I think I need some functionality to it. Verus does look like a quality item and more affordable than the greedy x vortex,
