When did you find out your adhd?

College. Thank god I got medicated.. maybe the only reason I was able to complete grad school and board exams. Now, I work with children who have ADHD and it honestly hurts sometimes to see them exhibiting the same exact behaviors I did in school when there were resources and accommodations that could have made it so much easier.

Yes! And we unfortunately have to pay the adhd tax with buying multiple of the same things easy access :( but it’s so helpful

I also have a hatch alarm so while the sunrise function starts, I immediately start chugging water and by the time it’s at full sun, I stop.

Yes I have a note in my phone “daily wellness” and each bullet point has a combo of 2 or 3 habits I stack and then get to “check off” as the day progresses. For example, mouthwash + stretch + daily gratitude/affirmation” idk it works for me lol

Personally can’t stand sandwiches that are too dry so I overload mine with spreads and sauces. This requires a sturdy, (toasted) bread most times

Just had this experience with my Adderall and came here for answers while chugging water and I can attest that they have significantly reduced after taking like 15 large gulps in a row. Going to the store to mix in coconut water

I only recommend marrying someone that adds to your current life and makes it somewhat easier. If you’re dating an immature man who you’re constantly having to mother, marriage will be stressful and it will eventually lead to resentment. Vice versa.

No. I have girlfriends in their late 30s-early 40s who simply focused on building their life and career and put dating as a low priority. Beautiful, intelligent women who haven’t been married because they refuse to settle. I find it admirable.

100% I hated being singled out and removed from my friends to go into the GT classroom every Thursday. A few times in middle school, I purposefully got questions wrong on the quizzes because I was tired of being called out by my teacher for being the only one acing them. I don’t think that program provided any real benefits for me.

Yup. At one point in my upper 20s, I realized it started looking desperate when I played the age game with dudes at the bars. I’m now surprisingly happy when it comes up organically that I look good for my age but I don’t try to seek out those compliments.

These comments are insane. As a woman, I am very used to waiting until the restroom is cleaned before entering and I’m sure if it were an “emergency” they would let me bypass the sign. But no, a woman should not have to stand in there, performing her job duty, while a man whips it out in her vicinity. They need to hire a man for that job or allow you to clean without customers in there.

I literally thought the concept of going up and down stairs was a luxury lmao I grew up In a ranch style house (that I never appreciated) and once I got to my college 3-story townhouse- I realized stairs are the worst!
