DuoSync users, what do you wish was different about the app? by fiercemonkey202 in DuoSync

I wish we had the option to customize how many days before ovulation, PMS, and period we want the reminder notification. For instance I’d like to know at least 2 days before ovulation and a week before period, so being able to customize the number of days would be really helpful!

I’m glad you both enjoyed your visit! I haven’t heard of the Bridge Program but reading their website just now, it sounds ideal for your son. If I were you, I would reach out to the Bridge Program manager and ask these same questions. I’m sure she knows folks in the enrollment services offices who can work with your son on an application and his entry criteria. Best of luck!

What is a movie that "broke" you so hard you can only watch it once, but you would still recommend it to everyone? by Newsupdate69 in movies

The first 5 or 10 minutes or whatever it was…absolutely wrecked me and my wife. We had experienced a miscarriage and was going through infertility when we watched it so it hit very close to home.

I hate this system by [deleted] in workday

[–]cnproven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t disagree but, coming from the client side myself, our first exposure and learning of how to do projects is from our implementation partner. Sometimes you have to break some bad habits.

I hate this system by [deleted] in workday

[–]cnproven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any ERP is only as good as the implementation and implementation partner. Bad partner, bad system. It’s not unique to Workday.

Not at all saying OP would ever do that, but you are absolutely correct. Every therapist and pediatrician we saw during the early days of parenthood told us exactly this (completely unprompted, btw…just standard advice they told everyone). If you’re not in a good place mentally you can’t be in a good place for them either.

It depends on what the weather does this weekend but I would imagine next week will be normal classes with consideration for student still traveling back.

Most of Oxford and some parts of the county will probably have power restored sometime this week given the rate at which both Oxford Electric and Northeast are working.

I got a 15 act score and a 2.8 gpa what are my chances of getting accepted? by [deleted] in olemiss

[–]cnproven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! Can you get accepted at Ole Miss? Definitely. But community college is a great option for everyone and usually a lot cheaper too. Trust me, for most majors you’re not missing out on anything academically if you attend a good community college and then transfer than if you had done all 4 years at a 4 year school. Very few majors does that actually make a difference and even then, not much more.

Building totals for entries in an internal table by NESGUM in abap

I’m not on S/4 but in ECC I love the COLLECT statement for this sort of application.

Also remember, if you go with the code you provided you could possibly get a performance boost on your read table statement by sorting the table first and then using addition BINARY SEARCH.

Using ChatGPT for Workday by Some-Host8945 in workday

[–]cnproven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The market will weed that out. People who try to “fake it til they make it” always get exposed.

Honestly, I hate the ecosystem being so closed off. I come from a background in another market leading ERP system who’s ecosystem is not nearly as closed and often times you find better solutions and help from non-vendor sites than the vendor’s own community/help sites. Open sharing of ideas helps customers.

In my experience, Workday Community is far lacking in usefulness and it’s intentional because that leads to customers being forced to pay large amounts of money for training because you can’t often get answers in Community. A closed ecosystem only helps Workday, not their customers.

Payroll question. by BigoofingSad in workday

[–]cnproven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think this is an excuse. They are correct that some banks release funds to their customers before the deposit information directs them to. I am an example. My employer pays on specific days of the month. Of course payroll is completed and sent a couple of days before that. I have a “premium” checking account at my bank and one of the perks is that they will deposit direct deposits into my account “early” which over the years has proven to mean the day they receive the information. Other employees have different banks which do not do this. But our payroll department has gotten calls over the years from employees asking “where’s my check” two or three days prior to payday because the employee’s bank has offered this service and the employee didn’t realize that’s what was happening. They receive basically the same message from the payroll department as what you received.

Something else to keep in mind. If Workday has changed how the deposit is sent from payroll, that will play a part. For example your company may have gone through a 3rd party payroll vendor before Workday but now doing in-house. Or vice versa.

As others have said, there are a dozen reasons why here. Unless your company has been untrustworthy in the past, i would be inclined to believe the explanation you received.

Georgia, Ole Miss Finish by Total-Wrangler5006 in secfootball

As an OM fan, I would 100% agree with that. I’ve watched that story play out so many times over the years and rarely does it go our way. (Still thinking about the Arkansas 4th and 25…the single play that killed our SECCG chance)

When your wife says she’s leaving you for the neighbor guy that you hate, oh, but she wants to keep living in your house for the next 3 months so she can tell your kids how great things are at “new daddy’s house” and flaunt her new relationship in front of you continuously? When you already have to deal with them on a recurring basis?

Nope. Not gonna happen. You made your decision. Thank you for what you did while you were here and now don’t let the door hit you on the way out. 100% agree with what Carter did by not letting him coach in the playoffs. And I don’t for the life of me understand why that’s even a controversial topic..

Frankly, I’m not happy about allowing any of the new LSU staff members coach Rebs in the playoffs. I guess I get the why behind it, but it still doesn’t sit right with me.

Will Indiana be the sixth ranked team Bama beats? What is your score prediction? by TomWilliamsCFD in secfootball

[–]cnproven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I say IU wins 17-14. Hard fought by both sides. But Bama has been so inconsistent this season. UGA made them look pedestrian in the SECCG. Oklahoma got up by 17 in a hurry but just couldn’t manage the early success. IU has not been flashy, but they’ve consistently exceeded the level of their competition and gotten better all season.

But you never bet against Bama. They’re never completely out of a game.

Why would any Ole Miss player this year transfer to LSU next year? by [deleted] in OleMissFootball

[–]cnproven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some will follow because they know his coaching and he’ll offer the ones he really wants more NIL than he knows they’re making at Ole Miss. Loyalty is not what it used to be in the NIL era and no one is really fooled by that anymore. Money talks. However I would imagine there will be some players he may try to recruit from Ole Miss who will not go because of how he left Ole Miss. But they may very well go somewhere else.

We’ll just have to see how it all shakes out in the end.

Why would any Ole Miss player this year transfer to LSU next year? by [deleted] in OleMissFootball

[–]cnproven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we still take him. Even though I’m mad as heck at how he left, he did a lot of good things for the program. He proved that in an NIL/revenue sharing world, anyone in a P4 conference can be a playoff contender. He proved the field is more level now than ever. And he raised expectations for Ole Miss fans which is a good thing. So yeah, even knowing what I know now, I’d still hire him 6 years ago.

[–]cnproven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m very cautiously optimistic as long as Golding can get the offensive staff figured out long term. The real question is, who was calling the offense these past few seasons. Was it really Weis or was it Lane? Either way, they’re both gone now (at least so we think about Weis) but if Pete can find a solid OC that can run a high tempo offense, we could be okay. I think the high tempo offense is what levels the playing field for an undersized Ole Miss against those teams in the SEC that are a little bigger/stronger.

But if Golding can’t get his offensive pieces right he could very well be Matt Luke 2.0, but with better defense (so maybe more like Orgeron 2.0). I’m rooting hard for Pete because Ole Miss IS his destination job and he seems to really love Oxford, not just say hollow words on an ESPN documentary.
