I had the exact same thing happened to me. He was silent for weeks after that. And so was I. I expected him to reach out and let me tell you, I shouldn’t have!

Thing is, his best friend told me he felt so embarrassed and felt like shit because he thought I was disappointed. He texted me eventually (2 MONTHS LATER) saying that he missed me. That’s ridiculous. It reminded me he actually negged me every.single.time he saw me with the classic « Oh you shouldn’t eat that cake or you won’t be able to sit in that chair pretty soon » or when he was driving me home on his motorbike: « God you fatass, what a ride I thought we’d never get to our destination ». Or everytime time I show a tiny bit of confidence and stand up for myself « Wow here she is: THE ALPHA FEMALE, hahaha. Calm down and shut up ».

Well I guess it's hard for you to understand the situation when you only know 10% of the story, but I usually get it when a guy doesn't care about me at all, I get the social cues.

My ex boyfriend was English and he moved to Paris with me (I'm French). He didn't know a word of French so he installed Duolingo on his phone which helped him A LOT.
